Some would think that being this respectful to a child was pretentious but Sedric taught Louis for several years now and he was more than convinced of his abilities. This was simply him expressing his respect and loyalty to the child in front of him.

"I suppose it's time for a talk. Tell me, who, in your opinion, is that boy. I have never heard of a beastkin that can transform into an actual animal" Louis asked after taking a sip of his beverage, eyes straight and directed toward Sedric, who cleared his throat before starting

"young master, at my age I have seen a lot and heard a lot. Most importantly, I have traveled through many countries and lands as I followed your father the duke. There was a time when we visited 'Tyrifon', the country of beastmen. Young master, do you know that unlike our kingdom, 'Tyrifon' has only ever had one ruling dynasty?"

The question caught Louis off guard, making his eyes widen slightly in bewilderment. Based on his knowledge and understanding of human nature, he didn't think such complete control throughout generations was possible. Beasmen, elves and other races were not exactly humans, but Louis refused to believe that their thought process would be vastly different.

"how?" Louis asked, setting the half empty cup on the table, his full attention on the older male. Sedric didn't make him wait for long.

"The ruling dynasty has one special trait that separates them from the rest, they call it a 'beast form'... "

At those words, Louis's eyes immediately narrowed, understanding and interest practically shining through his pupils as he voiced out his wild guess, earning a look of approval from the butler

"So you're saying he's a descendant of the royal family?" Seeing how Louis grasped the main point of his words so easily, Sedric was beyond delighted. He nodded curtly, hesitating for a mere second before he continued

"I believe he is an unofficial descendant, maybe even an illegitimate child. As far as I'm informed, the kingdom currently does not have a prince, only a princess." Saying this, Sedric saw Louis's face turn as serious as it could. Even with a child's face, you can't not see the maturity in those forest green eyes. With a deep breath, Louis looked up

"we need to relay this information to father, the matter might be far more complicated than kidnapping or the similar" he declared, watching as Sedric immediately called over a young servant, asking him to bring the communication talisman. Louis also used this opportunity to give out few simple orders

"make sure to take care of the kid but keep a few guards stationed near this room at all times, Sedric and I must be informed immediately upon his awakening....Sedric, do we have any way to obstruct him from transforming? I do not want anyone to be injured by him if he wakes up abruptly" the first part was addressed towards the young servant while the latter was directed towards his butler, making the old male contemplate for a second before shaking his head

"there are ways but most of them require special materials or tools which we currently do not have. If the young master permits, we could move your lessons to that room and I could keep watch at all times. As for training, at young master's current stage it'll be fine to take one of the knights" he suggested, making Louis feel quite relieved, he was quite tired. It was hard for him to come to such solution himself in this state so he was grateful to have a trusted subordinate at his side.

"I'll put off training for a while, I'll just spar with knights in the yard. You were told to accompany me at all times when I'm outside the summerhouse so it's better to follow my father's orders. Otherwise I'm afraid he won't let me go out like this ever again" he chuckled slightly, concluding the matter before standing up.

He could leave the rest to Sedric. As for himself, he knocked out the second his head met the soft pillow. He habitually let out all the mana before he slept, but it was done more so in a sleepy daze.
