"Just like last year, We were invited to participate in the Harpers festival of the meteor! Of course we plan to accept."

Everyone in the drama club started excitedly chatting away with one another. I looked at Bill confused. He caught my gaze and helped explain what the event was and why it's such a big deal to everyone.

"Basically, every year we participate in a meteor festival that celebrates the meteor that killed off the dinos and allowed us to evolve. Though, we're more so excited about the fact that we get to go out into the city without an outing permit."

"Great, so I'm assuming the art department is going to have their hands full then, huh?" I sighed knowing that decorations were most definitely going to be needed and that means I and the others, will be stuck doing all the hands on work.

Bill frowned. "Hey lighten up! You'll get to go into the city with us and if you need a big strong pair of muscles I can always help ya."

"Gee thanks, Bill."

"Sure no problem!" Bill always seemed oblivious to sarcasm.

"y/n!, we're going to the warehouse to work on preparations for the festival, we'll need your brain!" Dom waved me over to the group. Legoshi threw an "I'm sorry" look at me and I hurriedly said goodbye to Bill before making my way over to follow the group of boys.

"That is one big ass dinosaur." I said, my mouth slightly agape in awe at the giant green handmade T-rex sculpture standing at least 2 meters tall in front of me.

"Yeah, but we can't use the same sculpture again this year," Dom said.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Each festival peice has to be unique and original, its a competetition thing. I don't know, all I know is it entails more work for us." Legoshi said, his furry grey ears slightly down.

"Why a dinosaur anyway? Can't we do something easier?" Kai groaned.

"Dinosaurs are the ancestors of all animals. Their very existence is significant. They were regarded as gods! It all happened one summer when the meteor hit, which caused them to go extinct." Dom began his lecture, seemingly also being the only one excited about the project.

The tiny anteater Kibi chimed in. "It's said the festival happens in order for us to celebrate and welcome the ghosts of the dinosaurs! Nobody really cares about that though, everyone's just looking forward to the lighting ceremony on the last day."

"Lighting ceremony?" I repeated.

"It's said couples who put a lit candle in the meteor together will live happily ever after together forever."

Before I could respond, a loud ring came from the inside of my pocket. "Sorry guys, I've got to take this. Let me know when you all want to start working on the decor. I'm happy to help in any way I can."

"Sure thing. See you in a bit y/n." Dom said.

As I left the large warehouse, I looked down at my phone to see that I had two new text messages. They were both from Bill.

"Want to get dinner with me in the cafeteria?"

"Where are you?"

"I'm just leaving the warehouse now. Grab me a tray of something good!" I replied, adding a winky face to the text.

Bill responded almost immediately with two thumbs up and a tiger emoji.

"You should really not walk with your face in your phone y/n." I looked up, startled by the voice. Louis looked at me blankly, one of his eyebrows raised slightly.
