Drip... Drop...

It seems like it was still raining. Renji had finally started to gain consciousness. A cold breeze caressed Renji's face. The door to his room was open which explained why it was so cold. Something was wrong though. There was a weird sound in the background as well, apart from the sound of rain... Like zapping electricity. Renji opened his eyes slowly, only to realize that a well-dressed young man was standing right in front of him. Yellow electricity surrounded the teen, and his muscles were rather buff despite his child-like face. He had a glowing crown above his head which seemed to be made of lightning as well.

"I heard a commotion inside here, I thought that big bro killed you with one punch!" The cheerful teen said with a large grin on his face. It seemed like he was associated with the buff person Renji met earlier. It made Renji scared, was he going to die again? No. He wasn't going to. With his new power, he would defeat this new opponent. While Renji was filled with confidence, he stood up rather quickly. A large scar was seen on his chest, which made them giggle. It seems like he realized what Renji was capable of, he healed the critical injury that was inflicted on him.

Renji's arms swayed from side to side as he recovered his balance. There was an issue though, he didn't know how to activate his ability. He told himself that he would find out with some combat, which was why he raised his right arm and gestured the teen in front of him to come at him.

"Come," Renji said confidently. The teen in front of him gave him a little nod before dashing forward. That dash was not normal, it seems like the electricity around him wasn't just for show. His speed was incredible, the dash was barely visible. After the teen's dash, he clenched his right fist and drove it into Renji's gut, sending him off flying through the wall.

Crash! Zap!

Renji's body was slammed right through the thin wooden wall of his house, finding himself in the middle of the street. It was night though, which meant that there was almost no one around. Shit. Shit. Renji thought to himself. How could he defeat this man? His strength was comparable to the first guy! After getting up, he heard another zap sound. His opponent dashed right through the wall as well, with his foot flying in first. Renji attempted to block the lightning-fast kick, but it only resulted in his body getting flung away once again. This was not a fight, this was a one-sided beatdown. Renji was on the verge of passing out again, but with his sheer willpower, he kept his cool and consciousness. All he heard was the chuckling of the teen in front of him.

"What are you doing?" A strange voice came from behind him. It didn't seem like the lightning kid had noticed though. Renji looked behind his shoulder, only to see the same black entity he saw before, standing behind him.

"Get up and fight. Can you tell me again?" Azaroth raised his right arm to point at the opponent. He sounded rather disappointed.

"Why is the enemy laughing at us?" He said which gave Renji a burst of embarrassment and adrenaline. His right eye started to twitch again before an explosion of energy occurred in his eye. Renji's eye was glowing purple, and mana was flowing in Renji's veins again. The opponent looked rather impressed but unphased. Something was very weird though. Renji's vision had improved drastically. His awareness had increased a lot, and he could pay a lot of attention to small details. Even his knowledge of mana had increased a lot, it's like he understood it all. While raising his hand forward to aim it at the teen, he clenched his fist. After a few seconds, a shock of lightning zapped from Renji's fist. Does it seem like his affinity also was electricity, but was the shock really all he could do?

"You... Did you just acquire your sacred magic?" Renji asked his opponent, which was pretty ironic, knowing that he also just acquired his own.

"How did you know?" The teen asked in surprise. It was pretty obvious for Renji. The teen fighting was comparable to Renji's, but the only reason that he was strong was that he was very reliant on his ability. Every time the teen dashed, he had to regain his balance, which made it pretty obvious that he wasn't used to it.

"Come at me," Renji said again, baiting him to dash again. The teen took the bait angrily. Renji had successfully frustrated him. After a second of charging, the teen dashed forward, even quicker than before. While the dash occurred, Renji grasped a broken piece of wood from the rubble he created earlier. Making sure it was sharp, Renji slammed the piece of wood forward towards his opponent's belly. Because the dash was very fast, his opponent could not stop it. The piece of wood was planted into his opponent's belly, and blood splattered out. A smirk formed on Renji's face. It was his first victory against a gifted fighter, but something felt weird. Feeling a strange connection to the teen's corpse. After kneeling down, he placed his hand onto the corpse, feeling a strong zap on his hand. A surge of electricity entered Renji, giving him a strong shock. It didn't hurt though, and Renji had formed an aura of dark purple electricity around his body. Electricity gathered above Renji's head, forming a crown as well, just like his opponent. It seems like he had stolen his opponent's ability.

"Just like how my life was stolen from me... I will steal yours." Renji mumbled to himself as he looked at his body gaining size. The electricity and mana were hyper charging his muscles. He felt that he had a new "body part" in his body that he could control. It was the mana in his body. He deactivated his newfound power, and his right eye stopped glowing. This was all funny and ironic to Renji. All these ideas spun in Renji's mind, which made him giggle a little... but it all intensified into a burst of well-deserved laughter.
