Dying as if dreaming, shackled in your mind's prison,
Just a shadow in this world, your face is always hidden,
Confined but holding the key that keeps you locked in,
Cold and empty, freezing your heart and soul from within.

Trapped inside this madness, setting your blood boiling,
Parasites draining life from you and mind-controlling.
Absorbed under coercion, wilted yet you endure and give in,
Trying to hide the stained sleeves, a lost world you live in.

Completely shattered, by so many of them deceived,
Bound and naive in misleading lies that you believed,
Isolated and often cheated, marginalised and betrayed,
Lost in the cold dark of a life that slowly begins to fade.

Unleashing their waves of idle thoughts and wicked deeds,
With stress and fear which loneliness and paranoia feeds.
Struggling against the tide, afraid of where all this leads,
Yet searching for solace and relief to tend to your life's needs.

Your breath coming in quick with shallow gasps of air,
Anxiety and panic welled up inside bringing you bare,
Shamelessly stealing, they leave you scarred and blind,
Pulled in a whirlpool of lies, false dye painting your mind.

Dark cloud of confusion obscuring your vision,
Forced and oppressed for making any decision.
Feeling the panic rising in the back of the throat,
Unconscious mind's numb, struggling to stay afloat.

Safe inside your haven, closed eyes and breathing free,
Holding tight to the still silence adrift in a hopeless sea.
Here, you draw the strength to mend the broken pieces,
When the poison seeps deep through cuts and pain increases.

Fighting between two worlds trying to stay sane,
With everything to lose and nothing to gain.
Sinking without sound for all the weight is on your shoulder,
Awake from the dream, but the nightmare's never over.

Believe in freedom, stay strong my friend and persevere,
We're born to fight through storms, no matter how severe.
Breathe life into your heart and please always remember,
You and I share a future that we will survive together.
