Hollyheart looked around as she crept out slowly from her nest. The she-cat shook the leaves and moss from her pelt, using her paw to smooth down her fur. She slipped through, looking back at the other sleeping warriors.

She was thankful for her softer paws. It meant she was able to be more silent. The smokey she-cat sighed quietly, green eyes glistening with excitement as she slipped out of the den entirely, and started to walk out of the clan.

She kept walking through, her ears twitching as she heard pawsteps trying to mix with her own. Her heart hammered in her chest, looking aside. Remain calm...don't move...wait...

She waited until the pawsteps stopped, hearing a leaf crunch under a paw. In an instant she leapt, slamming her paws down on her stalker. Hollyheart's eyes widened as she met the frightened and worried yellow eyes belonging to her sister.

"Juniperslash? What are you doing out here?" She hissed, getting off. Juniperslash groaned, shaking the dirt from her pelt as she looked up, head tilted.

"I could ask you the same thing Holly. Why are you leaving? You've been doing it a lot lately. I've heard you."

Hollyheart swallowed, looking aside. She sighed, looking up.

"I've- I've been having trouble sleeping. So I'm going out for late hunts. Mainly the creeks since- every other animal is mainly asleep, save for the occasional owl or wolf howl I hear."

Juniperslash's eyes sharpened, gleaming in the soft moonlight above. "Maybe I can help-"

"NO!" Hollyheart winced as her sister flinched away, ears going flat. "N-No...I like being out here alone. It's comforting and- helps me think."

"But what if you get hurt?"

Hollyheart scoffed, cuffing her sister's ear playfully. "Really? If I can beat Bearclaw in a fight I think I can handle anything out here." Juniperslash purred, chuckling.

"I suppose. And it was very funny seeing him shut up about his talents for an entire moon. You should do it again sometime."

"Maybe. If he starts running his mouth again."

Her sister purred, nudging Hollyheart's cheek. "I-I'll see you when I wake up then?"

Hollyheart nodded. "Of course." The black she-cat waited until her sister left, before heading to the creek. She hooked up a couple fish, and once she was certain the calico tabby wasn't anywhere near, she took off to the border.

Her green eyes lit up as she caught the familiar dark blonde fur waiting nearby. The stranger's eyes lifted as he saw her, chuckling.

"Well...aren't you getting tired of your little rebellious streak?"

Hollyheart scoffed, putting the fish down. "I'm only doing this so you leave our territory."

"Are you sure that's all the reason?"

Hollyheart looked aside, trying to ignore the hammering in her heart. Whether from fear or something else, she didn't quite know. The tom shrugged, taking the fish anyway.

"Either way, my clan thanks you. One of our queens is going to give birth soon. She needs all the strength she can get."
