The Catch (A Ja'Marr Chase Story)

Chapter 4

"Between me and you, I wouldn't be house hunting right now If I didn't sign the contract." I said smiling. He smiled back and got up hitting the griddy making me laugh.

"That's tough congrats first of all that's major and second I just bought my house not too long ago so I looked at a couple houses with my realtor. I could hit him up for you and maybe after practice tomorrow I could take you to meet him and you guys could view some houses if you want." He said finally sitting down, that was nice of him and it was a big help because it would make finding a house a lot easier for me. 

"That would be perfect honestly I was struggling, Thanks JayBear." I said pulling a nickname out my ass to call him, it was actually kinda cute. He laughed at the nickname and blushed a little bit.

"Where did that come from all of a sudden? That was so random MeBear." He said copying my nickname for him. "Don't try to be like me, but can you go house hunting with me I'd feel lonely and bored going by myself." I asked a little nervous because I just met this boy why am I asking him to go house hunting with me, It was just a little friendly gesture though so nothing too crazy.

"Yeah sure I'm not busy after practice tomorrow so I'll go with you ain't no problem." He said shrugging.

"well it's mad late so I think we should go to sleep we both gotta be to practice tomorrow morning." He looked at me funny, and I looked back at him confused."

"Where you from? Ya accent and shit a lil different ma." 

"New York if it wasn't obvious."

"Oh I kinda figured, I just ain't wanna be wrong. But you right I'll see you at the field tomorrow MeBear. Goodnight." Before I could say it back he hung up, I shut my computer and went to sleep because I was gonna have a long day tomorrow.

When I woke up I had a text from Ja'Marr asking me to meet him at the field early luckily I woke up mad early. I got up and pulled more clothes out my bag to find my outfit, I grabbed A sports bra and compression shorts with Under Armour sweats with one of my little brothers football shirts that I got made with pictures of us and his number.  I took a quick shower and got dressed and grabbed my bag, a water and a granola bar and got in the car.

I face timed Ja'Marr to let him know I'd Be meeting him early like he asked, He picked up pretty quick.

"Hey JayBear I'm on my way to the field to meet you, You there already?" I asked seeing that he was in the car but he didn't look like he was driving. 

"Yeah I'm here waiting for you MeBear, I called my realtor and he willing to meet you after we done for practice today." I was happy to hear that because I needed to get out of that hotel ASAP.

"Thanks I appreciate that so much, You still coming with me right?" I asked.

"Yeah now hurry up and get here I been here for 15 minutes waiting for you." After he said that he hung up, I was gonna beat his ass for that but It wouldn't take me that long to get there.

When I pulled up I parked my car and grabbed my things and got out, I seen Ja'Marr get out his car and walk over to me. He came over to hug me but I started hitting him for hanging up on me.

"Aye what the fuck stop MeMe, What I do?" 

"That's for hanging up on me bitch but hey JayBear." I said hugging him out of breath. 

He held the door for me and we walked into the weight room so that we could do a little lifting. I don't know why he decided to lift before practice but if he like it I love it I'm getting paid for this.

"So we're here early to lift?" I asked confused.

"That and I wanted to get to know you a little more since you're gonna be here for a while." I understood why not get to know each other it would make it easier to be friends and Trainer and Trainee.

He asked me to stretch him out before we started lifting so he didn't pull anything and I didn't have a problem so I grabbed his leg and started to stretch him out.

"So what you wanna know bout lil ole me?" he shrugged, "Anything you wanna tell me." He responded wincing a little from me stretching his body he must've been tight.

"Okay well Obviously I'm from New York, The Bronx. I'm 20 years old, my birthday is July 14, my favorite color is yellow, my favorite food is caesar salad. I got a little brother named Karter, you probably know him he's top football recruit in the country, I was just going to Syracuse University for athletic training before I landed this Job. I got my personal trainer certification at 18, I ran track, played volleyball and played football with my little brother. I got 2 best friends Diontae before you ask he's gay and Summer, and other than working out I like to listen to music and get dressed up. What about you?" I said while just sitting there listening to me, we finally got up so that we could head over to the weight bench so he could do some bench presses.

"Oh shit Lil KJ1 is your brother that's crazy he nice as hell, but I'm from Harvey Louisiana I'm 21, My birthday is March 1, My favorite color is red, My favorite food is steak. I got a older brother and sister, I'm the youngest, I went to LSU, I was 5th pick in the draft, I played basketball a lil bit but football was my main focus. Tee is my best friend But my life long best friend name is Christian, other than football I like to play the game, watch movies and listen to music." He said while lifting the weights up and down with me there listening and counting reps.

"Well now that we know a little more about each other we gon be good friends JayBear." I said pinching his cheek making him put his head down and laugh, his laugh was really cute and so was his smile. Why ever am I thinking all of this, Ion like that.

"Of course we will MeBear." he said wrapping his arm around my shoulders walking towards the field just as the rest of the players started to come in for practice.
