Chapter 3

Me'Onna POV

May 10, 2021 Three days Later

 So I packed all My stuff, Booked my flight and hotel room, had Tae do my hair and now was preparing to be on my way to the airport to head to Cincinnati. I was hella excited to have this opportunity, but definitely nervous to see how all the players and everyone would react to having me as a trainer. 

It was currently 7:15 am and I was officially leaving to go to the airport, I was definitely gonna miss home and my family but I worked hard for this and I had to take this risk for us to be able to make it out of New York. I love my city but its definitely not the best place to be forever, it could be the most fun place and also your biggest downfall as well. 

Tae and Summer were both sleep right now and I didn't wanna wake them so I wrote both of them cute letters from the bottom of my heart and left them on the kitchen counter. We spent the last couple days helping me prepare and spending time together with my family before I left.

The airport was about 15 minutes from my house and my flight was at 8:30 so I was definitely pressing for time. I also made a quick stop for some breakfast on the way there so I was pressing for time even more. Finally I made it to the airport and got through security checks and made it to my gate so I was already there when they called the flight.

About 20 minutes later they called the flight and I threw my trash away from my breakfast and boarded the flight. I put my airpods in and played music and decided to take me a little nap so I can be energized when I land so I could check in to my hotel and make my way to the practice facility. 

The flight lasted about 2 and a half hours and the closer I got to my hotel the more nervous I got, Its only one person that can calm me down and make my nerves go away at times like this. 

"Dooda did I wake you?" I asked on a face time call with my little brother, already knowing I woke him up. 

"Yeah but I needed to get up anyway, how was ya flight dirt neck?" he asked me moving around getting out the bed. "Man fuck you but my flight was good I'm on my way to the hotel now so I can get dressed to meet the guys but I'm mad nervous Dooda."  I said honestly

"Listen sis, You are literally the best trainer I know, a new environment around a bunch of different guys might be scary but just stick to what you do and be who you are and they'll love you, And that's word to mommy." He said making me smile and feel a lot better.

"Okay thanks Dooda I love you I'll call you when I get back to my hotel let me check in. I gotta head to the facility soon." and with that I hung up I honestly don't know what I'd do without Karter. Me and him have been connected since he was born and I love him more than life itself

I make it to the hotel and rush to check in and get my things inside so I can shower and put my workout clothes on because I had to be there at 11:15. My dad always said being on time is being late so I decided that I was gonna be early just to make myself look good.

I showered up threw on a sports bra, Nike shirt and tights, Nike socks and Yeezy slides. I put my hair up in a pony, grabbed my shoes and hopped in my rental Car to head to meet the guys. I got this rental car because I'm waiting for my car to get shipped from New York to here.

The practice field is 10 minutes away from me, Brian told me when I get there to call him so he can come outside and get me and show me around, give me my contract to read over and finally meet the guys and do a little training session. 

I pull up to the practice field, parked up, dialed Brian's number and waited for him to answer.

"Hey Mr.Wilkins Its Me'Onna Johnson, I just arrived at the practice field and I'm ready to get started." I said smiling from ear to ear because it was officially happening.

"Okay Ms. Johnson I'm coming out now just meet me at the side door so none of the guys see you." He hung up and I grabbed my bag and shoes out the car and headed to the side door like he told me. 

When I got to the side door A older bald, black man who I assumed was Mr. Wilkins was waiting for me. 

"Ahh Ms.Johnson good to Officially meet you, I'm Brian Wilkins the one you've been talking to the past couple days. How was your flight and everything." He asked shaking my hand honestly making me feel really welcomed. 

"It's nice to meet you as well again thank you for the opportunity, and my flight was great honestly and I got a good nap in so I'm ready to go." We shared a laugh and he held the door for me to walk in so he can show me around.

I seen the weight room, the snack room, film room, the offices of the coach athletic directors and more. It was all so nice I couldn't wait to see how the actual stadium looked, I haven't seen the practice field yet because the guys are out there stretching and they don't know I'm here. We stopped in Brian's office so that I could get my contract and take it to the hotel to read it over and see if I want to sign it or not, I put the contract in my bag and got prepared to meet the team.

"You ready to meet the guys and get your first day of training in?" He asked and I nodded smiling walking in to the Giant Practice field with him.

"Hey, hey hey, Listen up guys gather around I've got someone for you all to meet." He says and all the big guys start to gather around making me feel really small but I didn't show it, I kept a strong face like Karter told me.

"This is one of you guys new trainer Me'Onna Johnson nothing is 100% official yet but she will be reading over her contract and training you guys for they day everyone introduce yourselves and make her feel welcomed." Brian says tapping my shoulder walking out leaving me to introduce myself and get ready for the day. 

Ja'Marr's POV

"This is one of you guys new trainer Me'Onna Johnson nothing is 100% official yet but she will be reading over her contract and training you guys for they day everyone introduce yourselves and make her feel welcomed." I was ignoring everything that Brian was saying and staring at our new trainer, she was so thick and bad I think I'm gonna love this new trainer.

I could hear everybody introducing themselves to her and getting to know her but I wanted to go last so I could leave an Impression on her. 

"I see that look that you giving her bro." Tee said laughing and raising his eyebrows at me, I sucked my teeth and told him to chill because she was coming over.

"Hey guys I'm Me'Onna Johnson, but y'all can call me MeMe, I'm Guessing you guys are the receivers and running backs." We all nodded she must work with receivers and RBs which was great so I'll be seeing a lot of her. 

"I'll be seeing a lot of you guys then because I work the best with y'all's positions so we'll get along well." She learned everyone else's name one by one then, she started coming to me shaking my hand waiting for me to say my name, I was too busy staring looking dumb and Tee elbowed me so I could talk. 

"Oh my bad I'm Ja'Marr Chase Rookie Wide Receiver Nice to meet you ma." shaking her hand back making her put her head down smile and blush. 

"Well now that we're done with that RBs WRs come with me." she yelled and we all followed to start our workout.
