𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮 ~ 𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝘅 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿

Chapter 4

"Tell me something about yourself that you've never told anyone" Ben says and I think about what to say

"Um, gosh I really don't know" I say

"Cmon there has to be something" Ben says and I smile at a memory with him

"In the island we really don't do dating cause it's kinda looked on as weakness but I remember hiding and sometimes lying to Mal and the others about my relationship with a boy, Harry was his name" I say

"But that is over, I found out he had feelings for another girl" I say and Ben nods

"I'm sorry"

"It's fine, I'm over it. What about you?" I ask

"Uh my middle name is Florian" Ben says and I laugh

"Florian?"

"Yeah"

"How princely" I say and he chuckles getting in front of me as we get off the bridge

"Okay close your eyes" Ben says and I, weirdly, listen.

I gasp as Ben picks me up "my god where are you taking me?" I ask laughing

"It's a surprise, ready?" Ben asks putting me down

"Yes" I say

"Open" Ben says and I open my eyes seeing the most beautiful place ever

"Go on" Ben says smiling at my reaction

I walk down to where Ben has the food and I sit down.

We start eating and Ben asks "is this your first time?"

"Eating a donut or being on a picnic?" I ask

"Eating a donut" Ben says chuckling

"Is it bad?" I ask

"You gotta....just a...I mean, do this" Ben says and he licks his lips and I do the same

"I guess you can't take me anywhere" I say

"You know I've done all the talking, your turn because I really don't know that much about you" Ben says

"Well, I'm 16 and I'm an only child and I've ever lived in one place" I say

"Me too! We have so much in common already!" Ben says and I laugh

"No. Trust me we do not, and now you're gonna be king" I say

"Yeah" Ben says quietly

"What?" I ask

"The crown doesn't make you a king" Ben says

"It kinda does" I say

"No it...your Mother is supposedly a backstabber and I've got the poster parents for goodness. But we're not automatically like them, we get to choose who we're going to be and right now... I can look into your eyes and I can tell you're not evil" Ben says
