shallow breaths
heart caving in
and saccharine sobs
escape at 2 am
no longer able to hold them in
due to the holes in the cloth
wrapped around the empty space
growing larger
with broken safety pins
lying scattered on the floor
dissolving in salty tears
that ran down your cheek
