Types of tvd fanfics

Type seven:

The adoption plot where the OC loses foster parents, finds out she is adopted, has an understandably big reaction to it, forgives her parents for keeping it a secret while finding bio-parents, bio-parents die, OC creates a well enough relationship with a relative or step-relative.

This is essentially overused as we have seen Elena Gilbert go through this and are just not surprised by it.

Basically just replacing Elena.

Type eight:

The Salvatore sister plot who was stuffed into a tomb the minute she turned into a vampire and has perfect control and mastered the art of compulsion the second she escapes along with using speech like "dude" or "maybe" while substantially falling in a love square with Elijah, Klaus, and Kol.

Or vice-versa with Mikealson's youngest sister who was "killed" only to return to town a thousand years later as an all-powerful heretic (even though she wasn't a siphon) to fall in a love triangle with the Salvatore brothers and basically replace Elena.

In both cases, they despise Elena for two-timing the Salvatores yet love Katherine for two-timing the Salvatores.

The title is always something like Damon and Stefan's sister, Salvatore sister, sister Salvatore, the Salvatore sister, forgotten Salvatore, the other Salvatore.

Or just straight up the OC's name like: Faith Salvatore, Destiny Salvatore, Hope Salvatore, or in some cases even Lillian Salvatore because no one is gonna get confused when the mother and daughter have the same name.

Type nine:

The Hope Mikealson twin plot which, again, is impossible because Hope was a one-time thing.

The OC is always the "forgotten" twin and is unloved and singled out. Because a guy who was abused and starved of love his whole life and a girl who was abandoned, solely because of what they both are would make it so that their daughter (again, it always has to be a girl) feel the same way.

They are Mikealsons for God's sake. She's their blood. She's their family. Always and forever.

Type ten:

The "I Woke Up And Found Myself In The Tvd World" which is supposed to be an idea of what would happen if you magically shifted to the tvd universe.

The OC is always a fangirl, doesn't explain how this particular world-shifting thing happened, absolutely loathes Elena for zero reason, the first person she meets is Damon who later becomes the love interest, besties with Katherine, Stefan is always friend-zoned because she's blind to hints, Bonnie and Caroline are basically useless, and everyone except Matt is supernatural.

Klaus is that guy who spoils the day and crashes every party because he has a mega obvious crush on the OC even though he always denies it, and if Katherine isn't the bestie, Rebekah always fills in that role.

And those are almost all the plots that have been repeated at least thirty-seven times. Now for my suggestions on plots:

One: a male OC with a love interest with someone unexpected, like Vicky Donovan.

Two: A fanfiction in which the OC has another goal like getting revenge or exploring their powers instead of a love interest fanfiction. One such example is Allure by ViaVolterra

Three: an adopted OC who knows they are adoption because they were adoption at a not-that-young age, like when they were eight or nine years old.

Four: A non-white OC that isn't related to Bonnie. Like a Latina, or an asian, or even someone who is mixed.

Five: ONEEEE FIC. ONEE. JUST ONE. ONE THAT DOESNT COMPLETELY BASH ELENA GILBERT. THATS ALL I'M ASKING FOR.

Six: Someone who isn't a complete orphan? Or lonely and abused? Or neither? Someone who actually has a good life with alive parent(s)? No? Okay...got it.

And uhhhh yea. That's it. If you got more of these clichés lemme know.
