Camila’s POV

“Happy anniversary, Gavin.” I greeted him as I arrived at a restaurant.

I kissed him on the lips as I approached. I immediately sat on the next seat after I did that. He had already ordered for me, so I did not hesitate to call the waiter for my order.

Gavin pinched my left leg as he held it with his right hand. I automatically glanced at him and smiled. But, I am curious why he did not return my smile.

“Is there something bad, hon?” I asked worriedly. I caressed his hand.

“Did you order it all?” I pretended to be shocked so I could open up a topic.

He smiles at me. “Yeah. I ordered it, and I already paid a small amount of money.”

“A small amount?” I raised my left brow. I am not agreeing with his statement. Because of curiosity, I asked the waitress to get our bill again. Gavin tried to stop me from asking the waitress but he had no choice but to let me.

“Wait for a minute, Madam.” She told me and left from our sight. She was holding a tissue in her hand. I then glanced at Gavin, and his playful smile was plastered on his face. I knew it. It is just not a small amount of money.

“What’s with your smile, Gav?” natatawang tanong ko saka siya inirapan.

He smiled and eventually nodded. “Why bother asking for it, hon? I just want you to fill your stomach, hon.” He stated and let out a small laugh.

Here’s the bill, Madam. The waitress showed me the bill. What the heck!

“Oh, these blessings were so expensive, then.” I stated, still in shock. Napailing-iling ako dahil hindi makapaniwala.

I heard the waitress let out a small laugh. I laugh a little bit too. “Thank you,” I told the waitress and gave the billings back. She instantly took it and smiled gratefully before leaving.

“What now, Camila?” natatawang anang ni Gavin. “I won’t let you pay for it. I am the one who ordered it so...”

I take a deep breath and then blow it out. “I was shocked with that huge amount of money,” I stated the fact. “And, we are 50/50 here, Gav. Don’t let yourself spoiled me like this.”

A little laugh escaped his lips. “It’s okay, hon.” He’s making certain of his actions. “It’s our anniversary today, after all. The fact that you are an expensive woman, that’s already enough reason to take you to a high-end restaurant and order you costly dishes.”
