y/n woke up with an ache below her stomach. she sat up and saw the familiar red patch on her bed.
"fuck," she groaned, her head falling back into her pillow.
"mi amor, its time to wake up," she heard camilo's voice as he climbs in from the window, a thing that he usually does to annoy her.
"ughh, camilo," y/n sat back up, cringing as she felt the ache again.
camilo immediately saw the pain on her face, "what's wrong, mi amor?"
"cramps," she explained briefly. "i'm on my period."
he knew what it meant as he usually helps his mom and sister with their cycles. camilo smiles, "good thing i'm here, querida. plus i snatched some of my tia's arepas."
he hands her an arepa from his pocket before kissing her forehead, "stay here while i'll make you some soup."
"do you even know how to cook?" y/n asked him, her cramps going away as she eats the arepa.
"no, but i'll ask your mom," he smiled smugly before walking out the room.

y/n had changed her undergarments, putting a pad on it before changing the sheets of her bed.
(a little fun fact for y'all: i've done my research and pads were apparently invented around the late 1800s!! and encanto takes place in the 1950s!! so yes she does have a pad :D)
camilo later came back with the soup he made, or more like y/n's mom had made, he just helped. y/n laid on her bed as camilo approached her with a smile. he sat down next to her on the bed, blowing on the hot soup before moving the spoon towards her mouth.
"here comes the train, choo choo!" he fed her the soup.
"stop that, camilo, i'm not a baby," she laughed as he sets down the bowl. she cringed as she felt a cramp coming.
camilo notices this, "oh, mi amor, do you need anything else?"
y/n shakes her head and smiles, "i just need you."
he looks at her with love in his eyes before climbing in the bed, his arms around her waist. the two stayed silent for a moment, just enjoying each other's company.
"do you have any more arepas?" y/n broke the silence.
"oh, yeah, here," camilo pulled another one from his pocket.
