I haven't done one of these for a while... The last one being on my second art book from years ago 0_o

I'm not good at explaining but here's basically it:

1. Basic shapes: imagine a round builder with a giant bump on the side (as shown below). My sketching is messy so ignore the extra lines

2. Cat features: draw the ears (remember cat ears aren't big and pointy), the outline of a hind leg, and an estimate place to put paws (or no paws if you want extra loaf). I also refined the bigger shape with curves for chestfur and belly. You can do this yourself with your own twinges if necessary :3

3. Face: go simple with this one. Macaroni shaped closed-eyes and a lil triangle for a nose. The three lines are my way of drawing whiskers :> you don't need to add these.

4. Lineart: well, it's time to start the lineart. For digital, lower the sketch layer and it's opacity down and make a new layer for lineart (as shown below). For traditional, you can erase sketch lines or go over the sketch with a darker color or pen, then erase :P

And that's it :D

You can add or remove details if you do end up using this :3 but here's what I did with mine.
