It was now Friday. Ransom had been gone for 5 days now.

Ransom had been stuck in meetings all day. He hated it, if it was something he was interested in maybe he would enjoy it a bit more but Richard only wanted him here so he could handle the books. This was something ransom had done since he was a young boy, yet no one ever gave him credit for it he always felt like people forgot about what he had done for them.

The temptation he had to just leave and get on the next flight back to Boston and be with Dianna was high, extremely high.

"It was nice to see you again Ransom" One of the new investors stood up shaking ransom's hand before leaving

Ransom sighed standing up as Richard began putting papers into his briefcase. "What's got you in a mood?" He asked

"Well I don't want to be here for one" ransom stated as if it was obvious

"Let's go get some lunch, I know something that'll bring you out of your mood" Richard stood up walking out of the conference room

————

Richard had chosen where to go for lunch. Ransom wasn't too bothered, that was until Richard took him to a strip club. Ransom knew Richard would cheat on Linda from time to time, even Linda knew but she was okay with it as long as it didn't turn into an everyday thing or a relationship with someone else. If it meant Linda got sometime to herself she wasn't that bothered But to bring your own son to a strip club was a stretch even for Richard.

Ransom sighed pushing his plate away from him, even the food was terrible. Richard had his eyes on some blonde for awhile so ransom was glad when he went into a private room for a dance, it meant he could make his escape. He stood up walking right out the door and pulling his phone out and calling Dianna straight away, the call rang out. Ransom checked the time seeing she would still be at work, he changed the contact calling her work phone. It rang only once when she answered.

"Blood like wine, Dianna Finley" she spoke into the phone

"Well afternoon miss Finley" he chuckled into the phone

Dianna recognised his voice straight away

"Ransom, how are you? I miss you"

"I'm bored out of my mind, you have no idea how much I miss you. My dad brought me for lunch and his choice was a strip club" he sighed into the phone

"A- a strip club" she stuttered, she knew her and ransom weren't dating but the thought of him surrounded by other women didn't sit right with her, it sent a wave of jealousy through her body

"Don't worry I left. The only women I want to see strip is you" he smirked leaning against the wall

The jealousy disappeared from her and was replaced with excitement "oh really? You want to see me strip"

"Well I wouldn't say no"

"Get praying then" she teased, chuckling

Richard came bursting out the doors looking around. "Ransom there you are, why did you leave"

He sighed rolling his eyes "sweetheart I gotta go, I'll speak to you soon okay?"

"Okay, speak soon" she said goodbye as he hung up the call

"Who were you on the phone to?" Richard asked

"None of your business. Now are you done In there?" Ransom spat

"Yes I am, we've got about 3 hours to kill before we go to the bar then-"

"The bar? So there's no more business going on?"

"Well no but it helps to make connections, I do that by getting drunk" Richard chuckled

"I'm going home." Ransom announced beginning to walk away

He was desperate to go home, to go home to Dianna. He had been planning to ask her to be his girlfriend since the moment he left, he was struggling to go another day without calling her his. He needed her, so he needed to go home.

"Wait, wait" Richard caught up with him "you're not going home. You'll go home on Sunday with me"

"I'm going home now. Enjoy getting drunk." Ransom pushed passed him storming off
