I can't stop thinking about Rina the whole day

I can't stop thinking about Rina the whole day. What if she starts asking things about Rindou? What if she starts asking about who her father really is?

I don't know what to do.

I checked her calm, sleeping figure. She got tired earlier and decided to jump to her bed after eating ice cream. I smiled softly and went back to the kitchen.

I continued preparing dinner for me and Mitsuya. Speaking of the devil, the doorbell rang. I went to open it and saw his tired yet handsome facade.

“Welcome home,” I greeted as I grab his bag.

“Where’s Rina?” he asked, probably waiting for the seven-year-old girl to run to his arms whenever he comes home.

“She’s already asleep. All tired and full because of earlier,” I chuckled trying to remember how Rina went full time in the children’s play place.

“I see. So, can you hug me instead?”

I blushed as he opened his arms, there is a weak but pure smile on his face.

“Just kidding!” He retreats his arms back to his side and chuckled.

Before his mood went down, I walked closer to him and give him what he want. His body tensed at first but he relaxed the next minute.

I hugged him tighter and inhaled his oceanic scent, very different from Rindou’s strong and manly scent. I felt his arms wrapped around me too.

We stayed like that for long five minutes before I pulled away. I stare at his eyes, he looks so relaxed and uplifted.

“Let’s eat dinner already!” I tug his hands towards the dining table where everything is already set up.

Our soft giggles were music to the apartment room.

We started talking about the happenings earlier, mostly about Rina. Then I remembered about the encounter with Rindou.

“Mitsuya,” I said making him look at me.

“Yeah?”

I stopped for a while and took a moment to look at his face. The more that I look at him, the more that I feel so guilty about myself.

“She met Rindou.”

Mitsuya stopped chewing his food for a minute as he tried to absorb what I just said.

“I-I didn't know he will be there. He spotted us. I wanted to run away but it'll only give him a hint.”

“You don't have to explain you know, (y/n).”

I looked down at my plate to avoid his stare.

“Hey, I'm not mad. I'm just– scared.

I looked back at him, he was the one looking down at his plate now, fidgeting with the utensils in his hands.
