“Are you coming with me inside?” The pink-haired hombre named Sanzu asked the bored-looking Haitani.

“No.”

Sanzu rolled his eyes. “Fine, go do whatever you want. I'll call you once I'm done.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just don't take too much time, asshole.”

Sanzu flashed him a grin after running away like a child. A sigh escaped from Rindou’s mouth. He doesn't have any business here and the mall isn't his thing.

He checked the time on his watch and think about what to do.

“I think I need some new gloves.”

Walking around for half an hour, the younger Haitani is getting bored. He already got his gloves yet Sanzu still hasn't called him.

He tried to call him instead but the phone is off.

“That fucking Burberry addict,” he cursed under his breath.

He found a bench nearby and decided to just sit and relax. His feet are kinda tired from walking too. People are glancing at him, probably shocked about his presence.
Rindou found it irritating whenever eyes are on him.

“I knew I shouldn't have come,” he said as his lazy eyes follow the movements of the people.

Minutes have passed and he hasn't heard anything from Sanzu. He grew tired of waiting so he decided to go to the store to fetch the man himself.

As he walks his way to the store, his purple eyes caught someone familiar. His mouth agape when he confirmed it was the person he was thinking.

“Bye, daddy! Thank you for showing me your wonderful works!”

Rindou heard a voice of a little girl. He stopped in his direction and observed.

“Anything for you, baby!”

Then, he remembered the face of the man that the little girl called daddy.

“Well, we need to go now. I still have a lot of work to do at home!”

The woman said, pointing out the paper bags in her hand that made the girl and man laugh.

“I’ll see you both at home later.”

The man with a light lilac mullet-hair then planted a soft kiss on the woman’s forehead as well as with the little girl.

If anyone will see them, they would probably describe them as a happy, perfect family.

Rindou couldn't believe what and who he saw. The lady and the girl started walking. He caught the side profile of the lady and felt his body tense.

“Ran’s right. She's here.”

Rina waved one last time to Mitsuya, a big smile plastered on her face.

“So, are you ready to go home now?” I asked.

“Can we get some ice cream first, mommy?”

“As you wish, princess.”

I held her small hand tighter and started looking for an ice cream parlor. I started to feel nervous. I just saw him and he's following us.

I looked behind my back to check if he was still on our track but luckily, he was gone.

“Rina, can we get ice cream somewhere else, please?”

She looked up at me and said, “Why are we in a hurry, mom?”

My mind is becoming clouded with thoughts of bumping into him that I didn't know how to respond to.

“Mom, you're hurting me!”

She called out. I didn't notice that I'm pulling her hand too much.

“I’m so sorry, honey! Mommy's just tired.” I kissed her wrist and caressed her soft cheeks. She just gave a smile.

“It’s okay mom. Let's just go home.”

She held my hand this time. We were about to leave again but I suddenly stopped when I heard his familiar and nostalgic voice.

“Running away from your dreams now,
(y/n)?”

I was stoned in my position. I don't know if I should just run or face him. Running away will just ruin everything. I mean, he's the most clever person I have ever met.

“Mom, who is he?” Rina asked who was looking at him now.

I turned around to face him. The green suit, pinkish-purple mullet hair with dark blue streaks, lazy eyes with eyebags. He changed a lot.

After 7 years, I have finally met those purple orbs again. I still remember his features even if he changed almost everything in himself.

How could I forget my first love?

“H-he’s mommy’s old friend,” I coldly said, looking away from his face.

“Hello, mom’s old friend! I'm Rina,” My eyes widened when she held her hands to him.

He smiled at her. Rindou then got down to her level and took her hand.

“Rina, huh? My name's Rindou.”

I look at them smiling at each other and felt my heart beat faster. They look so alike. Every corner, every part of her face, Rina looked like Rindou.

She looked so much like her father.
