Like a great phoenix
We hide from the world
Sheltering the true us within
Until we decide to uncurl
All of the emotions that we hold
Inside of us that are true
Breaking down the walls one by one
To come out and show you
I burn myself down
Uncovering the truth
To build myself back up again
Healing inside of the inner youth
A repeated cycle that must unfold
Until the end games have unturned
I am free now like the phoenix
Living the sense of peace i have yearned
