"Well you know what?! Maybe just maybe I have amazing aim and hit my target perfectly!" Timmy blurted. Tink's eyes grew dark and Timmy's hands immediately covered his mouth.

"Excuse me?" Tink spat angrily.

"Oh lord, I can not believe you just said that out loud." Brandon sighed shaking his head still cooking.

"Tink I am so-" Timmy started.

"If I were you, I would run." Tink said darkly.

"Yes sir- I mean ma'am- I mean.... RUNNING!" Timmy squeaked with wide eyes as he ran past me out the door and Tink followed closely behind. I couldn't help but laugh after them.

"So Brandon, who is Jake?" I asked pulling out some plates for Brandon.

"Oh Tink's boyfriend. He's really a jerk but we put up with him cause Tink would murder us all if we didn't." Brandon replied rolling his eyes.

"Ah so does everyone here have a boyfriend or girlfriend?"

"Nah. Just me Tink, Chloe, and Matt... Which you probably already knew." he shrugged. Matt. Has. A. Girlfriend. AND HE DIDN'T TELL ME!

"Ok. So you don't?" I asked. Brandon was tall athletic and I had to admit fairly good looking... Just not my type.

"I just haven't found the right girl I guess." he grinned. "What about you?"

"I had one back in Tennessee. Things ended pretty suddenly though and I just haven't been willing to give anyone else a chance." I said with a sad smile.

"Well if he was willing to give up someone like you then he was an idiot." Brandon said putting the finishing touches on the elaborate dinner platters. Everything looked so professional and well done.

"Neither of us were willing." I said quietly. Brandon looked up at me confused but the understanding passed through his eyes.

"so he-"

"Yeah."

"...."

"Dinner looks really good. I can't believe you can cook all this." I said breaking the awkward silence.

"Wanna help me set it out on the table?" Brandon said with a smile that told me he cared and he wanted to be there for me. I nodded with a smile that really said thank you.

"Sure." we carried the plates out to the table and I couldn't help but marvel at the gorgeously formal yet simple dining room. In the middle sat a gorgeous long chestnut table surrounded by elegantly carved chairs. In the far end in front of a large bay window sat a gorgeous black baby grand piano.

And you know who was playing that gorgeous instrument that's sweet sound made my fingers itch to run along the smooth ivory keys? None other than River freaking jerk-face.

And to say he played well would be an offense to all musicians. He was amazing. His melodies and harmonies. Complemented as if each chord was an individual mind blowing note. It took everything in me to keep my jaw from dropping. I finished placing all the platters and walked over to River.

"You sound really good." I said. He just kept on playing and refused to acknowledge my presence again. I huffed and turned on my heel. "Oh and dinner is ready." I said with a glare. I held the glare for a moment but finally accepted he wasn't going to look at me so I went back to the kitchen and grabbed the drinks and put them in the places Brandon instructed me to.

"Yo everybody! Dinner is ready!" Brandon yelled. Timmy ran in with Tink still chasing him and they took their seats opposite each other at the table. Timmy looked out of breath and a bit panicky while Tink smirked evilly over at him. Matt and Lacy walked in talking quietly and looking extremely serious with Matt really stressed. River closed the piano and took his seat at the table. Brandon walked in with the bread that just got out of the oven and set it in the middle of the table before taking his own seat. Timmy suddenly got really excited.
