The arrival of spring was a sight to behold. It was thriving in splendor. The blooming flowers, particularly the cherry blossoms, were spectacular. The April breeze was crisp and refreshing, providing a welcome balm to all who lived there. The chirping of the birds was a musical cacophony. Hope lifted the spirits of those who were barely hanging on.

People were thronging the streets on their way to work, grocery shopping, and other necessities. A young man with a bright smile motioned through the crowd of people walking down the stony pavements on his skateboard. He waved and said hello to people he knew and didn't know as was his usual behaviour.

He was in good spirits because it was a Saturday and he was free to roam, play, and frolic. After a long week at university as a dance major, the weekend was a welcome relief. Wang Yibo was like the sun when it first appeared. It was a surge of optimism for a new day, and it was the spirit of people getting on with their lives. Wang Yibo, in all his glory, was the same.

The youth examined some banners affixed to the walls on the opposite side of the road. The poster was colorful, with purple, red, and blue hues. It was a promotion for a hip-hop night at a downtown club. He was immediately intrigued and read the details listed below.

He mused casually about how he could unwind after a long week. He needed to let go of his pent-up energy and forget about his upcoming assignments. He had closed his eyes, a dazzling smile lighting his small face, and had forgotten he was in the middle of a pavement moving forward on a skateboard.

When he realized his ignorance, it was too late. By then, the wheel of his skateboard had already knocked over a random stone on the ground, and he had gone flying, landing on a person walking in the opposite direction. That kind gentleman wrapped his hands around his waist to keep him from falling.

Wang Yibo cursed himself and moved away with the assistance of the man who grabbed him. People from around them gave him worried looks but he smiled at them and assured them that he was fine. After the crowd had dispersed, he turned to the man who still had a hand on his wrist.

"My goodness, I'm sorry. Are you alright?" Wang Yibo inquired, concerned. His gaze ran down the man's body checking if he was hurt but he appeared to be fine. Then he looked at the man in his eyes. He had beautiful auburn irises. He had never seen such beautiful eyes before, and he had to admit they were mesmerizing.
