Bump Bump bump

You were completely out of it. However potent what had been injected into your bloodstream was, you tried your best to fight it. Unfortunately, all you could muster was opening your eyes here and there, before drifting back into what felt like intervals of heavy dreamless sleep.

The fist time you lifted your ladened eyelids you tried your best to familiarize with your surroundings.

Bump Bump

The sense of movement around you, coupled with the faint smell of leather and plastic allowed you to deduct that you were laying in a car. From your limited visual field you could see the outline of both Ran and Sanzu in the two front seats.

"If I can manage to get up and look out the window, I'll be able to know where they're taking me." You thought.

However, as much as you willed your body to move, you couldn't get up. The drug had done its job to dull your motor capacity but it had yet to break your spirit.

"If I can't move, the best I can do is scream as loud as I can. It's likely that we're on a public street. Maybe someone on the sidewalk will hear me and catch the car's license plate." You thought.

You tense your vocal cords and tried as hard as you could to belt out a shout at least. But to your utter dismay, no noise comes out other than a strangled groan.

The drug was making your eyes impossibly heavy by each passing second you had them forced open.

Hearing the faint noise you had been able to make, Sanzu turned back to face you from the driver's seat. "Looks like we've got a fighter Ran." He said nudging the man next to him with his elbow.

Ran turned to you chuckling again, like how he had laughed when he caught you in the alley. It was a deep and haunting sound, full of malicious intent. You didn't like it. His laughing made you feel like something t terrible was coming, that was the last conscious thought you had before falling back into the black behind your eyelids and losing consciousness completely.

The next time you open your eyes you were aware of being carried. You couldn't tell by whom but the man's chest your face was pressed up against smelled good...Like oak, cotton and expensive cologne. You saw a dangling strand of purple hair floating next to your eye line. It was the same collar as Ran's hair, but longer?

After the bouncing sensation of being carried, you felt your back end being placed on a cushion that seemed to have some structure to it. Your eyes could do nothing but gaze passively in front of you. You saw the legs of another, different man come into view.

"Shhhhh. It's ok. Drink this, you must be thirsty." A strangely familiar male voice said from in front of you. A pale, long fingered and well-manicured hand held out a cup of clear liquid you assumed had to be water. "Thanks." You murmur, taking the cup. You were thirsty. Thirstier than you had every remembered being in your whole life.
