13. The past

We both sat back on the couch. I eagerly wanted him to start and at the same time, i didn't want to burden him. After all it takes a lot of trust and courage to open up about the things which were ment to forget.

I asked do you want something  to Tae. He nodded and I asked what he wants. I was taken aback by what he asked. He asked "Can I lay down on your lap?"

I felt overwhelmed and on my face a visible wide grin was formed and I couldn't even utter a word. So, I nodded in agreement. I adjusted myself on the couch. Tae without any warning layed he head on my lap. The whole room was filled with silence. We both were in our own bubble and at that moment I didn't even care about what Tae wanted to tell. I tenderly started to run my fingers through his hair to ease the unknown tension built up within him. It was silent for a while until Tae started to talk.

"It was the last year of my Graduation and I was preparing for various universities entrance test"

Flashback

(A/n: Taehyung's POV)

My brother was already in the last year of his university and I can't wait to go to university.

I was working very hard and I had cut myself from all my distractions. One evening, I was working on my assignments in my dorm and my roommate 'Jeon Jungkook aka JK' was lying on his bed and scrolling through his phone. He was my junior and always acted as if he was my Senior.

"Hyung, I'm bored. Can we go out and grab something to eat? " Jk asked.

"Jungkook-ah.. I'm busy and tomorrow is the deadline for this assignment" I said.

"Hyung. You are always working on project or writing some shitty assignments. And, now a days You don't even hang out with me " Jk said with a pouty lips.

"Yaah!! I'm working hard to get myself into a good university and you are complaining about that to me? " I asked with an angry tone.

"Hyung! Once you go to university, i'll be all alone here . First it was Jin hyung and Namjoon hyung.. Next Hobi hyung and yoongi hyung. And now, You and Jiminie hyung. I want to have some fun with you guys" He said with a sad face.

I felt sorry for him and I knew how I was avoiding him the whole time. When ever he asked to go out or to play video games, without giving a thought I used to declain it. So, I decided to take a break and go out with him.

So, we were out of the campus to our usual Ramen place. Most of our school students were there as it was around the campus and this place was quite famous among the students.

We ordered for two Ramen and waited for it be served and then we both talked about so many things that happend and I was surprised to know how much I had distanced myself from everything.

"Hyung! Act normal. Since the time we got here, The girl at your right is starting at you as if you are a whole meal" Jungkook said.

I just Smirked at him and said "That's good to hear. But, I'm done with that life. Now, I mainly want to concentrate on my future"

"Hyung! There is nothing wrong in having little fun. Remember how we used hangout  and party all night with those girls. I bet you even got laid down in one of those parties" He said as he got annoyed.

"Jungkook-ah, that Taehyung is gone. It was really fun and all. I enjoyed it. But, now the reality has striked me hard" I said.

Jungkook was not ready to accept this changed Taehyung. Back then, I was the heart-throb of  our school. Every girl in our school would swoon over me. It's not like I was the innocent one. I had my fair share with many of those girls. But, I was never in a relationship with any of them and I even made it clear to those girls who were into me. As I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

I went to grab our bowls from the counter and the girl who was staring at me just happened to bump into me and luckily the Ramen didn't fall.

"Are you alright? Look I'm sorry. It was an accident" The girl told me as she was examining to see if I'm hurt or not.

"That's okay nothing happened. I'm alright" I said and flashed her with my famous boxy smile.

"Then I'll take my leave it was nice meeting you " She said and she was about to leave.

I don't know what got into me I didn't want her to leave so soon. So, I said "Wait" She turned to look at me with confused look. "What's your name? I have never seen you here before"

Then she smiled again at me and said
"Soo-Yoona. I'm a transfer student and I'm in my final year"

Before I could say something, she was already going out of the place with her friends. And, all this didn't go unnoticed by Jungkook. I handed him his bowl and sat opposite to have mine. It was silent for a while. Until......

"Jungkook-ah, that Taehyung is gone. It was really fun and all. I enjoyed it. But, now the reality has striked me hard" Jk started to scoff at me.

I felt embarrassed and I just had my bowl of Ramen quietly in between those mockery of Jungkook. After few minutes we were back to our dorm and continued with our own work.

Next day

I was already in my class and went to my usual seat. There was still some time left before the teacher came. So, my thoughts drifted to yesterday's event and I made a firm mind not to get distracted again. Teacher entered the class and we all greeted him. And, he was about to start the class and it was Intreputed by someone who happens to be the girl I thought I should keep my distance from. She greeted the teacher and she introduced herself. And, our teacher asked her to sit in any emty place. Unfortunately, that was next to me.

She saw me and smiled as she sat in that emty seat. For a while, the whole class was silent. We all were seriously taking down the notes. Until the girl next to me decided to break the silence. She leaned a little closer towards me and said
"yaah! I didn't know you were in my class"

I didn't want to start any conversation with her. So, I kept quiet. Again after few minutes, I could feel someone poking my shoulder and turned to see the offended 'Soo- Yoona'
"Yaah!! I'm talking to you. Why are you avoiding me? " She said.

Luckily the class ended and I was about to go to my next class. Suddenly I felt a firm grip on my wrist. I was startled at first because that firm grip was from Yoona. I looked at her and she bursted
"Yaah!! Don't act like you don't know me"

At this point the whole classes attention was on us and her shouting was not helping

" What's going on? " Familiar voice came and it was from Jimin.
" It's none of your concern. So, stay out of it" Yoona said without even giving him a look.
" It actually concerns me. You are holding my friend's hand and we really need to go to our next class. So, if you excuse u--" Jimin couldn't even finish what he was saying.. " Yaah, you didn't even tell me your name yesterday and now you are ignoring me!" Yoona shouted with anger.

I had enough of her so I finally  said "Kim Taehyung. Happy? " And I left with Jimin without even glancing one last time at her.

"Taehyung-ah, why is she smirking by looking at you? What happened? How you know her? Don't tell me you are dating her.. "

"Jimin! Stop it.. It's not what you think. That bunny boy took me to our Ramen place and I accidentally bumped into her and asked her name" I said . "And, I didn't know that she would be in my class. "

"I know Tae. I know you. But, that girl" He pointed towards Yoona. " I don't know. I'm not getting any good feel about her. " 

In our Whole group, Jimin was the only person who knew my truth.
