"Oh" he said
"You ready?" I asked
He nodded
"I'm tired"he yawned as we made our way to self check out.
As we finished checking out I grabbed my wallet to pay but he beat me to it.
"Thank You" I said grabbing bags but he took them out of my hand
"It's Nothing" he said yawning
"You want me to drive?" I asked as I opened the door for him to put the bags in
"You can drive?" He asked
"Duhh" I rolled my eyes playfully
"Hmm, don't crash my shit" he said handing me the keys and opening my door
Once I started the car, He leaned his seat all the way back and scrolled on his phone
"I need directions" I said after a while
"My fault" he said tapping some on the car screen and it started the gps
"Just follow that" he said laying back
I nodded.
"You seen this video of that black women getting lynched?" He asked
"Nahh, that's sick I don't even wanna see it, ain't that the case where they tryna rule it a suicide when they know damn well," I asked
"Yep, can't stand these hue-less hooligans" he shook his hand resting his hand on my thigh
I looked down then looked over at him
"I can't touch you?" He asked removing his hand
"I ain't say that, just took me by surprise" i said
He hummed and put his hand back on my thigh and covering his eyes with his other arm
I turned the music up a little and just rode to the destination on the gps.
____
Turning the music down as I stopped at a red light I answered my ringing phone.
"Hello" I answered
"Where is you at?" My daddy voice came through The phone
"Out hea" I said putting the phone on speaker and continuing to drive.
"Out where?" He asked
"Hea" I chuckled
"Girl when is you coming home??" He asked
"Around maybe 10 or some ion know why?" I teased
"10?? Unt unn" he said
"Yea" I chuckled
"Yo brothers in yo room waiting on you" he said "and we're cooking tonight.. you gone miss that!?" He asked sounding sad
