'Thank you.' Kia sent the thought out into the universe, hoping the redhead knew just how much it meant to her that someone she trusted was going to save her brother's hind end.

And those three Dragon Slayers were incredibly grateful before their three streaks could be seen by those in town as they charged for the enemy forces that had landed on the ground. This gave the Phoenix Slayer a moment of relief as she took in a breath before pulling her full attention back to the attack as a whole, standing straight beside the First Master.

"The three of them will be far more effective on the ground."

Kia nodded, "Yes, and being on the ground also increases their numbers because the Exceeds don't have to carry the Dragon Slayers."

Mavis agreed with her own nod as Warren's body language began to change. He stared over the new information that was coming through on the tablet that was in his hands. "It looks like there's some kind of breach in the barrier. And it's a big one."

"Does this mean they have someone who nullifies enchantments?" Mavis stared at the hole that had just appeared in their defense. Her gaze turned to the S-class wizard beside her. They exchanged a knowing glance: they were going to have to change up their plans for now. But then again, the Mythics were meant as the backup force.

Makarov stepped up beside them as well, "I sense more magic power. Could another member of the 13 have arrived?"

"Someone needs to head to the breach in the enchantment!" Warren's message ran out across the city, alerting all the guild members. "Crap. Who's closest? ... Uhhh, let me see. ... Elfman! Lisanna! Mirajane! Get there, quickly!"

"I want you on standby." Mavis said lowly.

"Roger." Kia replied, even if she wasn't so sure about staying at the guild, but she turned anyway. "Verani, you and Amber need to head over and block up that hole. Keep me in the loop on the status of the breach and enemy numbers that you and the others are facing over there." She motioned to the crimson rune that was on the inside of her forearm.

The two each gave a singular nod, before they were gone out the guild doors in a blur of flickering gold and blue lightning.

Amber focused on the areas they were leaving behind as Verani watched where they were going.

"You know as much as I missed you guys, I did not miss being thrown over your shoulder like a sack of potatoes." The Blood mage sighed.

The blonde chuckled, "Aw come on, you missed not having to walk anywhere, princess?"

"What princess gets transported with a shoulder in her ribs?"

Verani stopped at the edge of town. In the distance, she could see the clashing of magic that signalled where Natsu and the others were dealing with the ground forces. She had passed over the Strauss siblings, Gray, and Juvia approaching what she could only assume was one of the Spriggan and his lackeys, but she hadn't stopped even if she wanted to. The five of them knew how to handle themselves and this was war, she needed to stick to her mission. So she had only bursted her magic enough to run along a few rooftops as they passed, yelling out that they better kick that smirking asshole's ass.

Amber took half a second to stretch her sore rib cage as she turned toward the visible hole in Freed's enchantment. Examining the edges of the circular gap, she studied the nullification runes that had been placed along its edge in a fashion that made her think of old detective novels where thieves would cut holes in panels of glasses to unlock windows or cases. It also wasn't something she could easily decipher.
