Chapter 2

Noah was looking at me. 'Don't remember me, don't remember me, don't remember me' I prayed silently.

I guess I stood there for less than 5 seconds before hiding again but that was enough to check him out.

His gold brown hair was cut short but still had the messy celebrity look that normal people usually don't have. He was wearing a white T-shirt under a black leather jacket and dark jeans. I also could tell he's been working out a lot. I could see his muscles even from a distance.

While I tried to hide again, Noah apparentely lost his interest in me and started making small talk with the group. He probably didn't realized who I was yet because he didn't look at me again.

"I'd really like to see them performing solo, Lorena." Noah said to the teacher with that puppy eyes that made me remember him as a child. Okay, stop remembering! , I told myself quietly.

"That would be fine with me." Lorena said with a grin. Crap. I really didn't need him to see me dance. It could be easier for him to remember who I am.

I had an idea. I could pretend I was ill and ask to go to the nursery room, than I wouldn't have to dance.

"Alphabetic order..." Lorena was looking at a paper and before I could say anything. " Anntonella Bellaza." Double crap. Too late. Lorena said my name and I had to get up. Now he problably would know who I was. It's not like there's a lot of girls with my name around the country.

'Don't look him in the eyes' I thought as I walked to the stage where Lorena and Noah were standing, hoping he did his job of forgetting me better than I did.

The marble floor made noises as I walked and everyone was silent. Even though this is only my second year here I'm already known as a good dancer and some teachers say I might be good enough to join the company in the future.

"Okay, darling, just do routine number 3, I like it when you do it." Lorena told me. She was definetely one of my best teachers and she loved me but right now I just wanted to run from her.

"Fine." I whispered taking a deep breath.

I could feel Noah's gaze on me and I refused to look at him so I just positioned myself in the centre of the stage and let the music flow.

And for a minute all the worries dissappeared. There was only me following the rhythm of the music, letting its fellings get to my body and making me feel alive.

And just as it began, it was finished.

"That was amazing. If everyone here is just as good as you than it's gonna be harder than I though to choose only five." Noah said casually. Or he didn't remember me at all or he was a darn good actor because all I could see in his face (yeah I let myself look at him) was casualty.

"Thank you, 'Peter'" I thanked, making sure to highlight his name. I've never called him by that. Ever.

And there was my answer. He DID remember me because, after that he just dropped his smile for some seconds.

Obviously no one else realized it. But then, no one else knew him as much as I do. Or at least used to.

He put his smile back on as I walked to my seat again. Yeah, definetely 'USED to'.

Everyone got the chance to perform some of the routines we learned at the first year. Noah complimented some of the dancers and just thanked the others and at the end of the hour I couldn't be happier to leave.

"Anntonella." Lorena called me. Great! Now I had to be close to Noah again. He was still at her side

Instead of going to the stage to talk to her I just stood near the exit door and looked back. "Yeah?" I asked hoping she would be quick. Noah was looking at me. Darn it.

"I was hoping to see you at the rehearsal this Friday." She said with a smile and my day got much better.

"It would be an honor!" I said and then walked out with a huge grin on my face, not even remembering of 'Peter Johnson'.

The rehearsal was held every Friday after classes. The dancers of the company got together to discuss the choreography and also, of course, to rehearse. Only the students who were well seen by the teachers got the chance to participate once in a while.

I've never been to a rehearsal before. That would be my first one and hopefully not the last one. If I got the chance to go than they think I'm good. Oh My Effing God!!! I had to tell Mila!

"Ella." I heard a voice calling me from behind while I walked on the empty corridor. I knew that voice and only one person called me 'Ella' instead of Ann.

I turned back and Noah Johnson stared at me with those big blue eyes. And I just wasn't able to say a word.
