For someone who used to be a supernatural being who didn't need to eat or drink in order to survive, Saram seemed to have developed a penchant for pastries and good coffee. His first yuletide season as human was quickly becoming his favorite season of the year as it had set off an ostensibly endless production of Christmas themed treats around Seoul.

He had his first candy cane when Dong Kyung had him try one as they decorated his first Christmas tree. They ended up not hanging any of the candy canes at all because half of the stash mysteriously disappeared. DongKyung couldn't stop laughing when she discovered them in his coat pocket that night. He just couldn't help snacking on them.

One time, he caught a whiff of gingerbread cookies from a nearby pastry shop when he and Dong Kyung were on their way to the grocery store. So Dong Kyung bought him a box and he munched on them while they shopped. He loved his wife so much for always making concessions to his recently discovered sweet tooth.
Before they went back to work after the wedding, he and DongKyung had arranged to have lunch together at each other's workplaces once a week so they could spend time with each other without having to wait for the weekend. So he drove to her office at lunch time every Tuesday and they would eat at the restaurant on the ground floor. Dong Kyung's turn was on Thursdays and she would drop by the hospital to bring takeout or home cooked food.
In one of her Thursday visits, Dong Kyung brought him a cup of toffee nut coffee and cinnamon rolls. And that was when Saram's love for Christmas themed drinks and pastries grew a thousandfold.
