Charlotte P.O.V ~

-----------------------------

Around 8:30 I started to get ready, for what I'm not exactly sure.

But Chris insisted...

*texts*

Hai! {Chris}

Ello😊 {Charlotte}

Charlie, be prepared for a whole lot of emotions... {Chris}

Wouldn't have expected anything less. {Charlotte}

I sat my phone down on my desk and resumed my preparation for whatever the heck he had planned.

I put on a floral skater dress with a cardigan, and some blue vans.

And I put my hair up in a messy bun then only put on some mascara.

Before I walked out the front door I called to my dad, "bye daddy, I'm leaving."

He paid no attention to me. Of course, what was I thinking?

He just sat in his maroon recliner with a can of beer spacing out.

I'm glad I left.

---------------------------------------------------

I walked up to Chris' porch, when I see him in an adorable getup.

A button down with kaki pants... And lilies.

He had one hand behind him when he said hi.

"What's behind you?"

"It's for you." He replied shyly.

From behind him he pulled out a red rose.

"What no bouquet? How disappointing..." I joke.

"These aren't for you..." he smiled suspiciously.

He's up to something. I just don't know what it is.

"Come on." He says.

We walk for a few minutes, until we reach our destination...

my mother's cemetery.

--------------------------

"Chris...."

"Charlotte." he says to quiet me.

We walk through the gate and towards my mom's grave.

Chris put down the bouquet and started talking.

Not to me, to her.

" Hi ma'am, it's nice to meet Charlies mom."

We simultaneously sat down.

"I just met your daughter today, and I have to say if I just met her and can see how truly radiant she is I'm kinda jealous of you... you got to see it a lot longer than I have. And you may not be able to be here now and watch her blossom into her true self, but I'm making a vow to you that I'll watch her, and be her confidant. I'm new to her life but I can already tell she deserves the universe and beyond."

He was laying back in the grass, so he leaned on his elbow to look me in the eyes, with some moonlight shining on his face.

"Talk to her." he said, and laid back in the grass gazing at the celestial stars.

"Mom..." I choke on the words, "I miss you soooo much, daddy isn't the same with you gone. I want you back! You were my rock." the tears are streaming hot down my face.

Chris gets up and walks over to me and while he hugs me gently he whispers,

"it's okay"

That's all I needed to hear. Just once.

He released me and walked over to the tree near by, grabbing a guitar I didn't notice before. And he starts singing to me, and my mom.

🎤Imagine there's no heaven

It's easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us only sky

Imagine all the people

Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries

It isn't hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion too

Imagine all the people

Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions

I wonder if you can

No need for greed or hunger

A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people

Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will live as one🎤

After that we both just sat there talking to my mom for an hour.

It was incredible.

Then Chris walked me home...

"Thank you chris."

"You're welcome Charlie."

We hugged, but when he moved his head back, he just looked at me dreamily. 😍

Then he kissed me on my forehead and said,

"Sweet dreams Charlotte."

And he walked home.
