"I can't remember the last time I was digging a six feet hole in the middle of nowhere" Elijah groaned

"A little less whining and a little more digging would be more helpful brother" Klaus grunted, The memory of him saying that last time at the exact same spot. It was as if he was having a Deja vu. Even though it was decades ago, He remembered it like it was yesterday. He started feeling all those things he spent years to overcome. Over the course of his life, He has never regretted killing anyone, But he did when circumstances pushed him to do the unthinkable to her. A thud sound from the ground brought him back to the present

"This is it brother..." Elijah announced as he could see the coffin, They both set aside the shovels and lifted the coffin up. Under any other situation, He would do anything for that casket to be empty. Klaus gathered all his strength to open the lid, not knowing what to wish for while he was at it.

Should he wish for it to be empty? Klaus would escape the long lasting torment of his own if it was, end the cycle of nightmares and blame he brings upon himself. Or should he wish to see just the skeleton of the woman who once had him head over heel for her?

No matter what he wished for, The wooden box was empty. Elijah's eyes fell over his brother. Klaus was feeling so much at once, confusion, relief, terrified. Confused as how? How could it be real?  How could she be alive? Relieved as he can see her again, He could feel complete once again, But at the same time terrified as he was the reason she was demented, That his past might become a barrier for his daughter's future.

"You know what needs to be done Niklaus..." Elijah's words rang through his ears, The same exact words.

"I am not doing it this time, Not again Elijah" Klaus snapped at his brother, the rage he felt was uncontrollable "I can't kill her again just because you said so!"

"I said so because last time she was a threat for our family's existence, Now she is being a threat to your daughter's, And this is the only way!" Elijah yelled back

"So you can go back to impressing the mother of the very child you are talking about and get your fantasy fulfilled? If that isn't hypocritical, I don't know what is" Klaus could not stand the sight of his brother at the moment, And he fled the scene before he did something he would regret later.

Natalie was never used to it, Waking up in the middle of the night at the sound of an infant crying next to her but didn't complain much about it. She was willing to go through much worse things if it would make the baby she was holding, feeding and lulling back to sleep would be safe. She made sure the crib the baby was about to laid down was spelled to keep anyone from harming her. The sound of wind whooshing around made her get on high alert, She carefully closed the baby Mikaelson's room, Not wanting to wake her up again. When she stepped out, She met the unforgettable blueish green eyes.'

"Klaus..." Before she could do anything, He stepped in front of the room, Struggling to open the door she just closed "Don't waste your energy, It's spelled" She said without any sign of fear towards the hybrid standing in front of her.

"How are you even-" Klaus finally met her ocean blue eyes, It was just like the first time he saw her, Her eyes just as gentle as dove. One that he who never complain to get lost in. For the second time that day, He felt it, Hope

"Alive? I am actually surprised that you chose to ignore the rumours, I mean, Genevieve clearly has heard it" Natalie sat on the couch, Not taking her eyes off of him

"I ignored it because I know it's all that was. A rumour. Because I-"  He tried to say it out loud, Admitting it, Owning up to it but he was ashamed

"What? Killed me? Go ahead, Admit it." The witch pushed him, wanting to see some sort of feeling from him while he did it

"I am sorry Natalie... I do regret what happened between us... What I did..." Klaus admitted, Natalie couldn't see any sign of him lying but she would never do the mistake of trusting him again

"No, You are not sorry, Maybe you are regret that your past has come to bite you in the present but you are not a bit sorry about what you did to me."

"Yes I am. I killed you, I did what I had to do, Mikael was after us, We had to flee for our lives Nat..." Klaus looked again at her, Wanting to hold her close, To apologize for what he did but he fought every fiber in his body not to do so

"So I was just a baggage you needed to cut off?" Natalie wanted to cry, to show him the pain she felt since turned but she fought every fiber in her body not to show him any sort of weakness

"You were a Siphoner witch, You draw attention wherever you go without even trying... I can see that you are mad, and you have all the reasons to be. But don't punish her for my sins, She is innocent" The hybrid pleaded to the witch to let his child to go

"You really think that I would use an innocent child just to get back at you?"

"Then why?" Curiosity filled his mind as soon as he was a little relieved "To use her as a leverage to lure me out?"

"Oh get over yourself, Its not always about you" Natalie rolled her eyes at the hybrid

"Then why?!" He roared, And just for a flash second, Natalie's heart raced in fear

"Because I was protecting her!" She yelled back at him

"From the witches? They are already dead, I assume you already knew that because you were the one who killed them"

"No, Not the witches of French quarter... Your mother.. Esther" She uttered that name with hesitant. For the first time that day, She look at him with an expression that wasn't hatred, Klaus knew that all too well. It was fear, And that moment, He vowed to himself that he would do absolutely anything to make sure she never feels that way again.
