We could see Hiryuu following Enterprise along with some shipgirls and were heading to Santa Cruz Islands
Months after her capture her ship was retrofitted for better aircraft and AA guns with the symbol of Japan's flag in her front deck removed and now she could carry 80-90 planes that the Americans used
while this is all happening The Eagle Union managed to refloat Arizona and repaired her ship away from where it sunk while they remove the spilled oil from the waters and because of this Arizona(The Shipgirl itself) manages to wake up from an comatose state which many celebrated and Oklahoma's ship being retrofitted
It was Yorktown who was supposed to join Enterprise and the others but The Admirals propose an huge retrofit on Yorktown's ship with adding what they called "angled flight deck" at Yorktown's ship making her out for a while and the reason Hiryuu joined Enterprises group is because Yorktown requested and accepted so she could pay her debt on not killing her and Admiral Nimitz agrees to this because Hiryuu's ship is in good condition and nobody know she is still alive... YET
as they reached the Santa Cruz Islands they saw Hornet and the others but Hornet announced Wasp's death which almost put the shipgirls morale low but Enterprise encourage them to fight for the fallen and made the other shipgirls lively again and then they stayed and prepared for battle with Hiryuu only escorting Hornet to prevent the Japanese Navy knowing that she is alive
The next day(October 26 1942)
09:00 Am morning
As the battle begins we could see Hiryuu with Hornet Task force and was checking there surrounding carefully because of a dream she get yesterday while she is asleep
Flashback
We could see Hiryuu in an dream where the battle will took place where Hornet got hit with many Japanese planes and torpedoes forcing the Eagle union to scuttle/kill her but before they do that Northampton hugged Hornet's weak and Dead body and say goodbye to her

and after that she woke up from her dream
Flashback ended
As Hiryuu saw this dream she sent 6 SBD Dauntless scout bombers to check for incoming planes and her suspicions were correct 20 Japanese torpedo planes and 16 dive bombers are heading this way and so she commanded her planes to retreat and prepared at least 18 planes to intercept the threat and prepared her AA's pointing at the sky were the planes will appear
As this is happening Hornet became confused until she realized they had been spotted and warned the others to prepare there AA guns as the Japanese planes dived heading toward them
At the Japanese side
We could See Shoukaku sending her planes to look for Enterprise's task force until her sister Zuikaku goes near her and whispered something which shocked Shoukaku and made her head to the location where Hornet's task force is with Zuikaku replacing Shoukaku's place
At Hiryuu's side
We could see Hiryuu sending the last squad of planes while her AA guns are shooting at the Japanese planes but Hornet's fight deck has been hit 2 times and almost got hit for the 3rd time only for Hiryuu saving Hornet from the last moment

until two torpedo bombers dropped there torpedoes at the water and where heading toward Hornet
and then Hiryuu gets to the side of Hornet Just in time and take the damage instead damaging her rudder and an engine and Hiryuu shot the dive bomber that was set on fire by Hornet's anti-aircraft guns because it will hit Hornet's stack
