"This is Charlotte Vanders, May I ask who is calling?"
"Chara! It's me!" I piped up with joy.
"Vivian?! You're ok?! Thank the gods!"
"Yes, I'm just fine! It wasn't easy but I'm safe now."
I heard her laugh on the other side. Couldn't she get any more adorable?
"I saw on the cameras! You're quite vicious!"
"Am not! I'm quite the opposite!" I gasped playfully.
"We'll test that theory once we are alone again."
I blushed while letting out a breathy laugh. She may be shy but when she is alone she can be quite the opposite.
"Goodnight my love!" I said with a wide grin.
"Goodnight!"
I smiled as I slowly hung up the phone.
"Ah yes! Young love!" Said the old man sitting at his desk.
I rubbed the back of my neck and laughed. My face burned as I tried to explain to him our relationship. It was complicated because of everything else that was happening. After a while of talking I heard a loud bang come from outside. I slowly got up from my seat and looked out the blinds.
"Shit! Not here!" I whispered.
It was Sith and his stupid guards. Their trucks surrounded the motel as everyone got out of the trucks. They were armed too. Guns and a containment device ready to fire at will. I quickly rushed to the old man and carried him to a safe place in the back of the motel.
"What the heavens are you doing?" He yelled.
"Getting you out of this bullshit! You have to stay here."
"What?"
"Trust me please. Just be quiet and you'll be fine!"
"Whatever is happening, let me help.." He pleaded.
I let out a sigh as I followed him to the front desk.
'BOOM'
I peeked out the window to see the guards looking through the rooms as Sith stood and observed. I panicked at the sight of him. The fear and anger flooded through me as he started walking towards the door. I tripped and went to hide in the back of the room. I quietly closed the door quietly as I listened to the conversation.
"How may I help you sir?" Said the old man.
"Ah yes! I'm Dr. Charles Sith. My dear wife Vivian has run away. I was wondering if you have seen her." Sith said calmly.
"I don't think so..Maybe a photo or description might help?"
' I knew this would happen!! Shit- I need to leave.' I thought.
I heard a big sigh as he began to describe me.
"She is a beautiful woman with long brown hair and yellowish eyes. She is 5'11 and has a scar on the right side of her face. She has lovely curves but she is well fit." Sith said.
I became disgusted at the way he described me. I knew what that sick freak was thinking, and it made me sick. I'm just some object for his sexual needs. I began to shake in fear as I tried to get bad thoughts out of my head. My hands were shaking as I looked for a way out of the room but there was no luck. The only thing I could do was hide.
"I'm sorry sir but I haven't seen her before. Business is slow around here." The old man piped up.
I let out a shaky sigh of relief as he said those words. All I had to do was wait until-
"DOCTOR!! SHE WAS HERE! HER BLOOD MATCHES" A guard shouted from outside.
'No!'
I mentally cursed at myself as I began to panic. This isn't going how I planned. This was supposed to be an easy escape! He was distracted by Charlotte. I slowly cracked the door open as I heard Sith speak again.
"One more chance. Tell me where Vivian is NOW!"
His voice was filled with venom as he spoke.
"I-i already told you. I don't know!"
I heard a gun go off as I lunged myself out of the room. I ran to see who shot who. Panic consumed me as I ran toward Sith. This can't be good. As I approached him, there was the old man lying on the floor bleeding. I quickly knelt beside him as his breathing slowed. I held his wound to stop the bleeding, but there was no anvil. He was shot in the heart, there was no way I could save him. The man only smiled at me as I held on to him.
"No no no! Come on, I can help you please!"
"It's alright dear. I'll finally get to see my wife again. Thank you. "
He smiled at me as he took his last breath. Tears rolled down my face as I slowly let go of him. I let an innocent person die because of me. I was stupid and should have let him hide. This is all my fault. More tears flowed as rage consumed me. I looked at Sith as he smirked at me and opened his arms wide. I looked away from him as he tried to hug me. I dodged him and turned to face his back. He looked at me as his expression changed.
"Why do you hate me so much?" He said with venom in his voice.
"Because you are a psycho that hurt me!"
I began to laugh hysterically as his men raised their guns. My tentacles slithered out of my back. Sith slowly backed away as I walked forward. I shot one towards Sith's throat and picked him up. I smiled and he began to struggle to breath. He was gonna die once and for all. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through my thigh. I hissed as I turned to see a syringe with a purple substance in my leg. Without hesitation I threw Sith into the wall as I ripped the syringe out. Half of the purple substance was gone which meant it won't work 100%. I swung my free tentacle at the guards who shot me. I held my head as it began to throb. This was my chance while they were unconscious. I swiftly left the front office and headed outside. This wasn't gonna be easy but I needed to leave now.
I ran towards one of the trucks and hid behind it as I heard Sith yell at his men. They all ran towards the trucks as I slithered under it. I watched Sith's truck drive off first. I quickly wrapped my tentacles around the truck and got in the back as the guards got in at last. If I just stayed like this until I got to Shrewsbury I'd be fine. They drove all over Wales just to find me. After 2 hours, I finally saw that I was where I needed to be. It took a while but I'm here now. As it began to rain I jumped off the truck and rolled off into the grass. I began to run down the silent streets as I tried to search the address on the sticky note. But, It want over just yet. I was so busy running I didnt even see that there was a guard in my path.
"Halt!" He yelled.
I rolled my eyes as I slid between his legs. I kept running but another sharp pain hit my hip. I stopped in my tracks and touched my side. My hand was covered in blood as I looked at the guard then back to my hip. I grabbed a rock that was on the ground and shot it directly in his forehead. He dropped dead on the sidewalk as I left without a second thought. I held my side tightly as I ran.
The rain fell harshly on my skin as I trudged through the silent streets. I felt the warm blood flow harsher the more I ran. But I didn't care, I needed to find them. No matter the cost, I wasn't gonna give up now, not until I knew they were okay. I pushed through the pain and walked past the sleepy town.
"Damniwch hi! Dewch ymlaen!" I whimpered.
I took a deep breath as I pulled out a wet posted note with an address. I looked at the soggy piece of paper as I hobbled along the wet path.
'This has to be the place'
246 Cadoc rd
I turned to see the numbers 246! I slowly walked up the steps. My heart raced..This felt so unreal that I'm finally here. I'm finally home!
