"y/n please just talk to me, I know you didn't need my help, I was just worried that something bad was going to happen to you if I wasn't there?" bucky said running after y/n in the rain when he came to help her unannounced on her first mission. "bucky this was the only chance i had to prove to the team that I'm capable of being an avenger, and you doing this mission for me did not help!" y/n argued back while the rain soaked her whole body. "i know I know, I'm an idiot, it's just that if anything happened to you I don't know what I wouldve done knowing the fact that I could've protected you!" bucky said while looking down.
"that's the thing bucky! you are confusing me! one second you hate me and the other second you treat me like I'm the only girl in the world!" y/n threw her hands in the air frustratedly. "what are you talking about, i never hated you!" bucky raised his voice.
"every single time i walk into a room, you never once made eye contact with me, you're always leaving and avoiding me whenever I'm around you! what am I supposed to think?" y/n said while her voice started breaking.
"GOD Y/N THATS BECAUSE I LOVE YOU! IM SO IN LOVE WITH YOU THAT IT DRIVES ME INSANE BEING NEAR YOU! I AVOIDED YOU BECAUSE I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT SOMEONE LIKE ME DOESNT DESERVE SOMEONE LIKE YOU!" bucky yelled with his hands in his hair, embarrassed but relieved he finally confessed his feelings. there was a moment of silence and bucky sighed, turning to leave but before he could do anything, he saw her running towards him. "I LOVE YOU TOO OLD MAN!" y/n kissed him passionately and threw her arms around his neck while his arms wrapped around her waist, they could feel the rain dripping down their face but they didn't care, he finally had her in his arms and he wasn't going to let go anytime soon.
