Kira stayed quiet on his way to the station. The car was uncomfortable, stuffy, and the officers were loud and obnoxious. He put no effort into making small talk or impressing them with his normalcy. It was ridiculous to even try, this wasn't a "normal" situation to be in, why would he even think of social niceties at this time? It was in his nature to worry about what impression he gave off, conforming to what was expected of him, but when he was being driven to a building full of the literal police force, excuse him if he was lost for words and ideas of what was best to do.

Besides, that was the least of his problems. He was sitting in a vehicle with law enforcement, with his rotting, severed hand of a girlfriend resting on his chest under his suit coat.

Needless to say, he was worried. This was the closest he had ever come to being caught in his 15 years of murdering women, and he had a literal severed hand with him. He didn't like referring to her as that, but it was true, outside of his fantasies and in times like these he needed logical thinking. It was a fact she was just, well, a... hand, and he had no bad feelings toward her (it had actually been a very sensual and romantic few days), but it would be all over for them soon if he didn't find a way to dispose of her before she was discovered. Thinking about it, she was getting a very... strong smell these days, and he would have broken up with her soon anyway..

He was getting sidetracked. How would he possibly get away with this?

He felt his pulse quicken with trepidation and a cold, foreboding sense of dread. If his parents knew what was happening to him now, they'd be rolling in their graves. He gripped his sweating palms against the car seat, digging his nails in and trying to scheme up something, anything, to get out of this situation as quickly as possible. He'd admit to his wrongdoings, leave, and it would all be over, right? A few hours at the most.

He was very wrong.
