I'm definitely taken off guard when piper runs up to me and burrows her face into my chest.

"What's wrong?" I ask, I can feel her wet tears through my shirt.

"Mate" is all she can choke out when she looks up at me, I know what this means. I became a rogue when the first girl I ever love rejected me. The pain of losing my mate is the worse thing I've ever had to endure.

That's when I snap out of my thoughts and notice her bloody hand. I pull out some tiny shards and let them fall to the ground since we're outside.

Piper is so fragile but she's a great person, who would ever turn her down?

Grayson the d-bag who I hate nears, I notice the connection, they're mates?

"Piper, I'm sorry..." he says.
"Leave" I demand to Grayson but he ignored.
"Piper, let's you and me talk about this. Okay?" He asks and she nods.
She gives me a hug and I can see jealousy behind his dark eyes.

They disappear into the woods...
