The snow stays on top of Taehyung's coat. The heaviest thing on Taehyung isn't his amount of layers of clothes or the pile of snow on his back. It was his heart.

Luckily someone had found him in the snow before he caught hypothermia or worse died from the frigid weather.

A lot of time had passed since then. Losing jungkook wasn't the only grief taehyung had to go through. a year after he found out his mom had three watermelon sized tumors in her uterus. she died 3 months later.

After that taehyung father tried desperately to keep the two up on their feet. but losing a loved one can really mess up the puzzle pieces of your mental state.

Taehyung was glad his dad found Stephanie though. Apparently the two found each other during an outing for both of their grief groups.

Stephanie lost two babies due to her abusive boyfriend. Dad and Stephanie found each other and we're able to put together their puzzle pieces one by one.

Now their one big happy family, with an addition of rainbow twins on the way. Taehyung couldn't be more happier for his family. Everything was coming together for everybody.

Yoongi and Namjoon bought their own bakery and bar. As well as their wedding happening next spring after Yoongi graduates college in the fall.

Jin and Hoseok are still his bestest friends ever. Taehyung couldn't be happier.

But deep down in his heart he was missing something. Missing someone. He wouldn't admit it but he still keeps his window cracked open. Even after all these years.

He still draws him every night. as the months go by his dreams of jungkook fade. the memories become distant.

Taehyung doesn't even remember what his voice sounded like. only images are apart of him now. polaroids, gifts, flowers, clothes.

only a few physical things. but those mean the most to taehyung. jungkook always had meant the most to him.

but taehyung is in college now. he can't get all worked up on a high school love affair that was a mess to begin with.

he can't let jungkook become a vital part of his life again. not again..

jungkook beats at the car seat in front of him. kicking, screaming, punching all things he could do he did to the car seat.

"i can't leave! he's out there! I know hes out there! let me go! let me see him! now!! please!!" he cries.

"please... I need to find him. he could die out there!"

the driver and passenger ignore his pleas continuing their drive away from the rural area.

jungkook turns in his seat looking out the back window. the town looked so blurry due to his watered puffy eyes.

he could make out the lights of the ferris wheel from the winter wonderland.. the porch light of Cafe & Bar.. he even tried desperately to find taehyungs house.

the farther and farther they drove.. the more jungkook grew anxious of what was to come.

he knew what was gonna happen. but jungkook always got what he wanted.

he promised taehyung he would never leave and broke it.

he promised taehyung he'd meet him tonight and broke it

but jungkook made a new promise to himself.

to find him. and never let anyone get in their way.
