Chapter 13

15 minutes later (in homeroom)

"Good morning class" my teacher says cheerfully, I looked over at Mitch and smiled, he smiled back.

"Good morning miss" The class moaned

"Now" she stated "Grade 12 is going their last excursion ever!" My eyes light up "We are going to" she stopped to build tension "New York City!" the whole class room cheer, I smiled ear to ear, I looked over who was staring me but looked away from me when I looked over at him. I nudged him, he looked over me "We are going to New York!" I sang

2 weeks later.....

"Bye mom." I said leaving the house with Mitch

"Bye sweetie, enjoy New York" closing the door, I saw my mom standing in the lounge room, waving goodbye, I waved back. We exited out the gate, my smile was ear to ear, like the same one, two weeks ago.

The bus pulled away from the curb and we were on our way to the big open city of New York! Mitch and I sat next to each other on the bus, Mitch was staring at the floor of the bus, I nudged him "Hey! 5 days without parents and no teachers!" it was crazy, no teachers or parents to boss us around and tell us what to do; we were allowed to do whatever we wanted. Mitch looked me and smiled, he kissed my forehead.

"Your right!" he smiled again, I smiled again. But then, Mitch got closer and closer to me. He pecked his lips and directed them to my lips, he closes his eyes and got closer, oh hell no! I push my hand on his lips "What is your problem with you kissing me?" I asked partly giggling, he opened his eyes and took his lips off my hand

"What is your problem not kissing me then?" he asked

"Mitch, I am not going to kiss you anytime soon if you're thinking that." I paused to think "then well, you're wrong!"

"I thought we were more than friends." Mitch whined

"No, we are not." I sighed "look, Mitch we are only friends and that's it! I do like you but only as a friend." I lied, Mitch frowned, he looked down at the floor and closed his eyes, and I looked away from him and grabbed out my phone and started to play some games. I looked over to Mitch; he still had his head down. I frowned; did I say the wrong thing? I shook it off, and looked out the window 'You Are Now Leaving Washington' I giant sign read, I read it in my mind over and over again. I closed my eyes, and fell asleep.
