Introduction

I've been working on this in my head for a while now, I honestly can't remember when I started but I'm finally ready to share.
This would be my first work based in Nigeria so I'm excited to change the narrative in Nigerian drama, I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did making it.
Follow the story of a freelance photographer; Dominic Eke and the VIPs; a group of internet influencers with his sister; Nora and apprentice; Sheriff.
Characters
Dominic Eke: A 22year old photographer based in Delta state, moved to Lagos to pursue his career in freelance photography, he has amassed a total of 36k followers online.

Maryanne Okon: Internet Influencer, formerly the most followed Nigerian on the internet, she started posting short videos online at the age of 16, she's currently 21 with 17 million followers. She also goes by MA.

Nora Eke: Social media ghost, some would say the 21 year old is Maryanne's doppelganger, she moved to Lagos to serve whilst she lives with her older brother, Dominic.

Jesse Udoh: Maryanne's cousin who she has been making videos online with. Him and MA were the original VIPs, they're the same age and he's at 14million followers.

Ore Ogunsemore: The most followed Nigerian on the internet with 22million followers, she's only 17, she gained recognition for her dance videos and Christian skits, she's trying to be a devout Christian, she's also MA's bestfriend.

Tobi Isa: Maryanne's boyfriend, oldest VIP, he's 24, A nude model which not many people approve of, prefers to go by Isa Tobi, he has a total of 11million followers.

Sheriff Mahmud: Dominic's apprentice and also Ore's former classmate who she had a crush on, his dream is to bring more Hausa people into the spotlight like himself, he's been stuck on 1.3K followers for years now.

'Dominic Effect' holds a special place in my heart, which is why I am committed to not shelving this book. Although I am currently making numerous adjustments to the storyline and characters, I acknowledge that there is still a significant amount of work needed. One aspect that requires particular attention is the development of Maryanne's character. Additionally, I feel that the plot was hastily constructed, and the execution of the first person point of view could have been better navigated. However, I want to emphasize that these observations do not diminish the potential enjoyment you might find in the book. I encourage you to give it a chance, as it might still resonate with you.
