*Rory's Pov*
the fire crackles in front of us and i shift my legs under the blanket, i look at Caleb. hes holding jade, a smile on his face. he brushes her dark hair out of her face. he looks at me, and scrunches his eyebrows a little bit.
"you know ill always protect you..both of you. you're safe now." he raises his eyebrows and i smile. flashes of that night come back to me, but i don't care.
"i know cal, wanna know how i know?" he slightly nods. "because i love you, I've know you since we still wore training diapers. and I'm sure this time, I'm 100%, perfectly, utterly, completely sure Caleb." he smiles and places a delicate kiss on my lips, he rests his head on my forehead.
"i love you cherry."
"i love you too. always." i kiss him again, and i feel my heart flutter, knowing I'm finally at home.
