"Congratulations. You birth a healthy baby boy." A nurse whispered softly as she gently placed the infant in Kara's eager arms.

"Thank you." Kara touched his small nose, giggling when he blinked his eyes and yawned.

"You're a strange little one, aren't you? That's okay, all that strange comes from me and your dad so that makes you extra special." Kara sniffled as she felt extremely emotional, "I'll name you Kon, Kon Zor-El. Do you like your name? I do."

"Perhaps you should feed him before he falls asleep, I'll come back in a few minutes." The nurse who'd been silently observing the pair advised and then left the room.

Kara adjusted the time on her wrist watch and sat down on the black marble steps, waiting.

"I can't believe this is happening, I'm going to time travel to the future." Kon breathed in disbelief.

"Technically it's going to be the present because that's where we belong." Kara pointed out, "Well, you as a fetus who suddenly became a teenage in a short frame of time."

"But I've been living in the past so the present for me is the future." Kon argued.

It was quiet for a moment, neither of them knowing what to say but it wasn't uncomfortable, although it was subtly tense.

Kon hesitated for a second then asked his mother, "Will my Dad ever know I'm his son?"

"I want to say 'No' but we both know he'll find out someday, no matter how hard I try to hide it."

"I understand why you did what you did, Mom. You didn't want to judged for being the homewrecker just as much I don't want to be labelled as the bastard child." Kon rapidly blinked as he tried to push back the tears, "As much as I understand that I kind of have these feelings of resentment towards the decision you made because I wanted Dad to be there, here, with us- as a family."

"I'll accept that." Kara nodded with a shaky breathe, "I know it hurts, I'm hurt too and it was my choice, but it was the safest option, the one with the better outcome for the both of us. I was scared, Kon, I didn't want to be that woman... but I was, I was the third party." Kara wiped away the stray tears.

"No matter how much I would've loved the idea of us together, Barry would hate me and himself, more than he would have felt guilty and those are not the emotions a child should have grown up in."

Kara swallowed a sob, "There were options but I couldn't do that, and now I have you and I love you so, so much Kon."

"I love you too, Mom and I'm really happy you were selfish and kept me." Kon sniffed and held out his widely open arms, prompting Kara to give him a hug.

Kara hugged Kon using all her human strength, they stayed that way for some time as they calmed down.

"Mom, could you stop, please? This is getting extremely uncomfortable, I can't breathe right now."

"Who needs oxygen anyway?" Kara mumbled as she held him tighter.

"We do, human or otherwise. Except the inanimate objects, androids and robots too -I think- I don't know about cyborgs..." Kon was rambling (a trait he got from his mother) as he pried his way out of her constrictor like hug.

...

"You called?" Captain Lance made her presence known to the mother-son pair.

"Yeah, I think we're ready to return to our time." Kara hugged her sister's time-traveling girlfriend.

"Hi, I'm Kon Zor-El, or Connor Danvers." Kon introduced himself with a handshake.

"Sara Lance. Captain of the WaveRider and team leader of the Legends." Sara looked at Kara with her eyebrows raised, "He has your eyes and Barry's smile, but the rest... it's just him."

"He got the black hair and defined square jawline from his great grandpa, Seg-El."

"All the girl's chase after him, don't they." Sara teased.

"They do, but I'm trying to catch myself a guy." Kon winked when he saw Sara's wide eye's.

Kara shook her head in amusement with a tiny smirk on her lips.

Taking a few moments to process Kon's statement Sara had been abandoned by the mother-son pair as they boarded the timeship without any luggage.

So? How was it?

Alright, if anyone is going to hate on my fiction because of the ship's I'm choosing to sail then I'll throw you overboard.

Can I mention that I haven't watched these shows in a longtime so no-one new from the past three-two seasons is going to show up because I have no idea how they were introduced into the shows.

Next chapter we move onto the plot that isn't all that planned. To be honest I started this yesterday (27th November 2021) on a whim and I'm planning to go through with this half baked plot.

Kon is fifteen by the way, turning sixteen sometime in 2020.
