"That boy done lost his mind! If I was your daddy, I'd fuck him all the way up. Uh uh." Jennifer practically howled.

Savannah laughed nervously. Jennifer's booming voice startled the crowd around them.  Not like the girl could even give two shits though.

She was still registering Khalan's situation and comparing it to the last one. Everyone thought he changed. Hell, they loved him even more to bribe him of doing drugs. Of being reckless.

"Why didn't you tell me this before, Sav?" Jennifer questions with anguish laced in tone.

Savannah shrugged to avoid this conversation overall. Looking past her shoulder at the human activity happening around her. The pair sat at the food court occasionally enjoying Panda Express.

"Savannah?" Jennifer calls out again.

Almost as if regaining consciousness Savannah reports back to reality in order to respond to the curious friend. "You know I keep to myself a lot. I'm sorry."

Jennifer twirls here fork in the lo mein noodles that had gone untouched for the duration of their trip. Savannah didn't have much of an appetite either. Slowly, she was rejuvenating herself with her favorite foods. Quality time with family and friends. Healing in silence.

She absolutely despised living a life where ones issues had so much of an affect on her. But she felt nothing could change this feeling. Ever.

Her phone pangs in notification. Savannah hastily reaches for the buzzing phone.

"Girl, when are you gon realize that being your best friend for years means listening to all of your problems with no judgement?" Jennifer tsks as the girl nods to her phone.

🍪: i want you to know i love you, sav...when i push you around and tell u to do shit it's cuz i love you baby. i just need u to listen to me sometimes

"Who got you smiling at your phone like that?" Jennifer's eyes turn to slits. She doesn't let the girl across from her answer, snatching the phone from her hands and gawking at the screen.

Now all Savannah is left with is the embarrassment that flushed to her face and the profuse aroma of orange chicken.

"This man wants you so bad. Tell me he don't." Jennifer nagged and egged on the fact that Jungkook had deep feelings for his friend. She constantly did this to Savannah knowing she denied every single time.

"He doesn't." She mumbles.

Jennifer shoves the phone in the girls face as if she hadn't read the text herself. "Read the room, Sav. He keep calling you baby and shit. And I never in my life seen a thug say 'I love you' to someone that many times, neither!"

Savannah snatched the phone with a sigh. This was a reoccurring discussion between the besties. Jungkook was always the number one category for their chit chat these days. After junior year finalized, he became more and more possessive. His love for her grew. And no longer did he see Savannah as a lil sister.

Everybody and their mother knew this. Savannah simply couldn't catch on. Perhaps she was scared of dating a boy with many faults to him.

Dangerous faults.

"What the hell did you even do for him to text you that?" Jennifer proceeded to barge into her thoughts. Refusing to let her speak, over and over again. It was in her nature. Savannah hunched her shoulders and picked at the brown rice.
