Chapter 5: Transitions and Reversal

"I love you guys so much", I said with a smile as I opened my arms. They both complied and basically tackled me into my bed as I burst into laughter.

"Oh guys", I suddenly remembered, "I'm gonna need your help tomorrow."

They both looked at me inquisitively. "I'm uh- going to a party. I need your help with an excuse for Mom and Dad."

"Martin's graduation party?", said Holly.

I stared at her. 'How do you know that?"

"You're not the only one with friends you know."

"Yeah but...it's a graduation party. You haven't graduated yet."

"Yeah but some of the girls on cheer invited all of us. I'll be there."

I shook my head. Holly really knew everyone.

I looked at Posy, "Jenna, Chris, Katie, and I want to drink for the first time. "

Posy smirked at me, "And you're asking me to help you get alcohol?"

I felt Holly slap my arm, "Why wasn't I invited?", she said indignantly.

"You're not graduating."

"Yeah but still."

"Aren't you going with your cheer friends?"

"Yeah..."

"So why do you want to come with me?"

"I just want to be invited."

This conversation wasn't getting me anywhere.

"I think Katie's brother can get it for us Posy."

"Huh no I want you to have your first drink with me!"

"You want to do something before I go to Katie's?"

"That's a bit much for you to drink your first time Willie."

"Can I come too?"

"No Holly."

"Shut up Willie."

Posy put her hands up to stop Holly and I from bickering.

"Ok...how about this."

"I'll make us three some cocktails. But then you don't drink that much the rest of the night ok? Both of you.", she aid, directed at both Holly and I.

We both nodded.

"Can Jenna come?", I said.

"Ooooh yeah!", said Holly.

Posy smiled, "Ok sure!"

Just then, I heard a knock on the door and our parents came in so we quickly changed the topic.

Later that night I texted Pari asking if she could come over in the morning tomorrow. I knew what I would tell her.
