"I cannot believe that idiot almost left a surgical scissors in that patient's stomach." Tim shook his head, his gesticulations running wild as he narrated what happened while he and two other students were assisting a surgeon in the Operating Room.

Bayo frowned. "Who was that?"

"Na Femi o. Just today they ask am to stitch the stomach, baba wan kill person pikin."

"Yo, guys!"

The two boys lifted their heads up to find their fair friend running towards them from the ICU. They had to hold back their laughter when a nurse in the hallway reprimanded him for running within the hospital premises.

"What if you ran into a patient in their recreational hour?" The nurse asked, hands akimbo.

Chinedu scratched the back of his neck, his ears red. "It isn't recreational hour though?"

"I'm reporting you to your consultant-"

"Ma, please. I won't run again in my life. I swear to God who made me."

Tim and Bayo had a field day watching their friend struggle to get out of trouble until finally, the busy body nurse left him alone with a word of warning.

"Don't," Chinedu grumbled in vain.

Tim immediately burst into laughter. "Guy, you almost enter one chance o."

Bayo smiled when Chinedu's cheeks flared up. "This your skin ehn." He pinched the boy's red chubby cheeks. It was a rather funny sight because Chinedu was a good ten centimeters taller than him. Not that Bayo was short. At 5'10, he definitely wasn't short, but compared to the other boy's 6'4...yeah.

"Du du du du du du."

Bayo recognized the popular rhythm used on Tiktok or funny YouTube videos to depict a romantic scene and quickly let go of Chinedu's cheeks to slap the boy on the back of his head.

Tim, foreseeing this act, quickly dodged the attack and fled from his attacker.

While Bayo pursued the boy towards the exit of the hospital, Chinedu bitterly grumbled about how that nurse didn't reprimand those two when she clearly saw them at the receptionist area. That woman has had it in for him from day one. His friends always joked that she liked him and was only pestering him for attention. Whether that was true or not, he didn't know neither did he care. On getting outside the building, he looked to the right to find his friends rolling on the grass like a bunch of kids. From what he could see, Bayo had Tim's phone. The only thing that could make Tim drag Bayo for his phone was if he had gotten a text from his brainless girlfriend. Chinedu didn't see why the guy liked her. Aside from boobs and a big ass, she had nothing else going on for her. Then again Tim was a dumbass who was a sucker for those things so it wasn't all that surprising. It was still annoying though.

Chinedu quietly sat down on a bench close to the two idiots and observed people around the hospital premises. His pretty blue eyes landed on two familiar faces. "Hey, Tim! Come here."

Tim, surprised at the boy's outburst, immediately stood up after successfully retrieving his phone to sit beside the boy, dusting off the grass from his clothes. "What?"

Chinedu put his arm around the boy's shoulder and nodded at the two girls they had seen in that food place opposite the hospital last week. "There they are."

"Yo, Flora na foodie o. See as she yus dey chop that meatpie. That girl has got an appetite. E weak me how she nor fat full everywhere by now."

"I swear-"

"Who's that girl hanging around her?"

Tim jumped a little, startled by Bayo's breath on his neck. "Dude, what the hell?"
