Your collapse caused an uproar thanks to the panicked cries from Takemichi. "(Y/n)!" The crowd turns around catching the attention from everyone. Draken rushes to your unconscious side. "Takemitchy, what the hell happened?" Aforementioned boy looks up to his vice commander, "I-I don't know. I think she blacked out when I told her Mikey is the commander of Toman." Draken snaps clasping onto the boy. "You idiot. She doesn't know a damn thing about us. Why did you bring her here?" He growled. "I-I'm sorry."
"There's no use in arguing." Mikey kneels staring at your unmoving body. "We need to set her down elsewhere until she's able to wake up." Inside, the blonde felt concerned, but knew that there was nothing he could do until you came to. He faces his crew, "meeting adjourned! You all have your orders!" The crowd respond and disperse until another day. While Draken moves your body and scold the boy in question, Mikey takes notice of his jacket lying on the ground. He scoffs finding it amusing to have it back.
Minutes pass when you come to awakened by a familiar face. You blink once, twice and three times before your vision is focused. Hovering over you is none other than Mikey wearing the most sweetest smile he can muster. "Welcome back. You caused quite a commotion." It takes you a moment to process the fact that you're laying your head on Mikey's lap. Your face burns as red as a tomato as you quickly sit up. "M-Mikey, what the hell?" You stuttered earning a chuckle from the male. "Why did you have me rest on your lap?" He tilts his head, "What? I see no problem. Besides, I heard body warmth helps." He defended. "Yeah, if you were living in the wild." You argued. "Of course you would know that, nerd." He smirked which made you blush and grumble in turn. "(Y/N), what are you doing here? Takemitchy filled me on why he brought you here but didn't exactly say much more than you insisting." You perk up and search for the jacket laying beside you. "Here, I wanted to give this back to you." He gladly retrieves it. "I wasn't sure where you live and where you go so I asked Takemichi to take me. I insisted because…I wanted to thank you in person than waiting for too long until you magically do." You fiddle with your skirt now that you have nothing else to say. "Thanks, but you could have just kept this. I have a friend that can make me another." Your face draws a blank feeling as though your efforts were pointless.
You stand rather irritated. "Oh, well I'm dumb. I guess I shouldn't have worried for no reason. I'll be sure to remember next time. Sorry for inconveniencing you." You bow and descend the stairs. To your surprise, Mikey pulls you back. "You're not an inconvenience. I'm rather happy that you came along to see me. Today felt like a special night because you showed up, (Y/n)." You look at him stunned as he sends you the warmest smile sending your heart into a flutter. You clasp your chest,
'There it is again. It's that feeling, but this time Mikey is making me feel giddy.'
You face him head on and look him dead in the eye. "Mikey…you said you like me. What do you mean by that?" Now it's his turn to blink at you surprised. "I said what I said. I like you." You puff your cheeks frustrated by his answer. "There are two kinds of like. There is friendship and there is romantically. Which is it?"
"Yes." He chirps.
"MIKEY!" You growled comically causing him to laugh. "I'm being serious."
"Which one do you want it to be?" You step back emotionally drained by the amount of mind games he's pinning on you. "Mikey…" You glare at the boy who tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear. "I like you both ways and isn't that the best way to like someone? I feel like I can trust you because you're honest and you're easy going, and definitely fun to be around with. I think I've known for awhile now and no one else has piqued my interest the way you do." Your heart skips a beat by how much he's easily conveyed his feelings as though it's no big deal. The choice is yours to make just as he said. Whether you take I romantically or not, or you remain friends or lovers so long as you're by his side. It's the most mature and honest thing anyone has ever said to like poetry written on a thousand pieces of paper and each word sends you soaring with a new burning passion. "Mikey…" Is all you uttered. His grey orbs fixates on you open to hear what you have to say, but nothing comes to mind. "…that's actually the most sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. I don't know what to say. Romance has never been on my mind. It's not something people ask of me. I'm not the first person they think when it comes to dating."
In retrospect, the main reason love is not an option is because nobody offered you. It's not that you wouldn't shoot your shot, but because you're not exactly pretty to look at boy's standards. Glasses aren't sexy, putting your hair up wasn't either and having break outs of acne every so often isn't an appeal either. Not even Make up could save you. What's more, you were a bit thicker than your average girl. Your low self esteem and the ranking system of boys has really done a number on your ego. As you look back to your dreary experiences, Mikey says the most unexpected thing. "I just asked you and you're the first person I think of when I'm in a bind, so your truth is now a lie." He grinned. Your heart forgets to beat once more. "Anyway, let's take you home."
You descend the stairs with the teen in a daze only to be startled awake by the sound of a motorcycle engine. A silver plated bike, an actual engine bike belonging to Mikey. "Hop on." He said. "What? You want me to ride in the back with you on this thing?"
"Yeah, don't tell me you're afraid of a little wind in your hair, nerd." You puff your cheeks embarrassingly, "o-of course not. I've just never ridden on one and I hear it's dangerous." You claimed. "Loosen up a little. Nothing is gonna happen while I'm in control. I'm an amazing driver." You deadpan on the blonde. "You can't just claim that you are unless otherwise told so by others." You argued. "Well I'm like to think I'm great. So if you don't want lift fine, but it's not safe to wander these streets. There are plenty of gang members at this time." You think back to the incident sending a cold shiver down your spine. He notices your distress and offers his hand. "Trust me, (Y/n)." You stare intently at his open hand as if making the biggest decision of your life. You hesitate at first before setting your small hand in his. A cheeky smirk evident across his face causing you to feel bashful.
Cautiously, you take your seat in the back and wrap your arms around him. You left a gap to avoid pressing your boosum onto his back and keep him from possibly feeling your heart race. To your dismay, the jolt forward from the vehicle forces your bodies collide remaining stuck in the position. Unfazed by the impact, Mikey continues to focus on the road. The feeling of the cool wind in your hair is exhilarating to the point where you wanted to lean back and open your arms to see if you could fly. Of course the idea is ridiculous but that didn't stop you from feeling amazing. Your gaze shifts to Mikey who is seemingly glowing like the most beautiful man you have ever encountered. His blonde locks flailing with the wind and his steel eyes staring straight as if lost in the confines of his mind. You didn't know at the time that whenever he rides his bike, he was internally taking to his late brother.
'How can someone look so majestic in such a lighting? Why is he making me feel so weird like I'm free from everything keeping me down? What does Mikey have that makes me feel this way?'
You hold onto him tightly and bury your face into his back. The sensation is enough for him to steal a quick peek. What he saw was his dorky crush being shy.

Finally, you're dropped at home. The lights were on meaning your older sister is home from work. You assume she must be worried having not left a note or a text message. You turn to Mikey, "Thank you for the ride." You politely bowed holding your bag close to your chest. "Sure, don't worry about it."
The silence fills the air as the two of your contemplate what to say. There is clearly something you want to say to each other but aren't sure how to. In honesty, it's you that had to do so after Mikey has put so much effort into the little things while you tagged along. The problem was whether or not to take a leap of faith. What if you end up being a burden and hurting Mikey all for a social experiment? It isn't fair to put someone in such a position and it's a troublesome choice given his position of a gang leader. Still, he put the offer on the table for you to make a choice know what he is risking, right? It's only fair to ask consent. It only makes the choice difficult. Still, you take a deep breath and confront him,
"Mikey, you're the commander of a gang and you're asking me be yours, correct?" Said teen blankly stares back as if waiting for the rest of your speech. "What you're asking me to do is dangerous. I have a career I want to achieve and if I associate myself with you it's bad." He turns away still wearing a blank expression yet you could tell how disappointed he is. "But...I also am young and y-you're the first person to ever show an interest. I don't know why even though you've given me reasons, but I do trust you enough to give you a chance. This may sound so messed up, but I want to test out the waters of how dating works. I know I'll never have another chance and what I'm asking is selfish." You hang your head starting to regret your choice, but pressed on having gone too far. "I...I want to be your girlfriend for a little while." Saying it out loud sounds like a confession of love. It made you blush at such a trivial thing.
The blonde hums in thought. There was a deeper meaning behind his confession having to be the same idea that you have for the sake of having fun and experiencing something new. He knows the only way he could be content is it has to be someone he enjoys and that option is you. Mikey parks his bike and stands before you. You never noticed how tall he is regardless how short he seems from a distance. His face now inches from yours wearing a serious gaze as he locks eyes with you. "You said you're aware of the price it will take to be with me. Do you really have an idea how risky it is to stay close to me? It requires you to walk on eggshells, vigil, have a good head ok your shoulders and motive. I'm not as simple as I made myself seem. True, I am giving you an option, but I also want to clarify the precarious situation you're about to involve yourself. So let me ask you this, are you up for the challenge?"
There it is again, the unfaultering presence meant to strike fear into the hearts of those he targets. While you wanted to cower, a strange part of your remembers Mikey being sweet to you after saving your life and even before that he has always been pleasant. His reason for being intimidating is for safety measures. You straighten your back this time and look him in the eyes and take a deep breath. "I accept the challenge." There was no going back, you have made a deal with the devil and the devil grins delightfully at your determination. "Very well then, I'll see you soon." You watch the delinquent nonchalantly take off after saying his farewell.
Once out of range, your knees buckle and you stumble onto the ground landing flat on your bum. Your entire body felt like jelly, overwhelmed by the fact that you have had agreed to the terms of which Mikey warned you and for what purpose you might ask, you weren't sure. It was all done by instinct.
No logic played a part for all you could think about was how your heart wanted to to go about it.
"I think I just screwed myself even more."
