Chapter 17: Disbelief

                                  Y/N's POV

i pick up the phone and i see Kehlani walking in circles outside.

"what do you want?"

"please, please just listen to me."

"what is there to listen to?"

"me. listen to me."

"i've seen everything that i've needed to, what do you have to say?"

"everything."

"you're not making sense right now."

"my bad."

"yes, your bad. your bad made us end up like this."

"please just listen to me, please."

"no, i don't want to right now."

i hung up on her mid sentence and drove faster from the emotions i was feeling in the moment.

i really can't believe that this happened. i knew i wasn't going crazy. i don't even know what to say right now. this woman, who i've been in love with, so many years, even got married to her, does me like this?

i never thought that this day would come. i thought the love we had for each other was real. you would never even think something like this could happen. you could just tell we were so in love.

i look at my phone since i'm at a red light and all i see are messages from her.

"pick your phone up"

"call me back"

"answer me please"

"text me"

"can we talk please? i just want you to listen"

saying all this, but she doesn't even bother to say "i'm sorry"?

to be honest, that's probably the only i want to hear from her. just an apology.

Lani's POV

"hey y'all." i want back to the table and sit down.

"what the fuck is wrong with you?" Bri said.

they know.

"no for real, what were you doing? please tell me this is all a joke." Destin said.

"i'm sorry."

"don't say sorry to us, say sorry to y/n. your wife. did you even try to apologize to her?"

i looked down cause i knew this was about to go left.

"are you serious? you didn't even say sorry to the one you hurt the most? that's so fucked up."

"nah, it's more than fucked up." Bri said.

"i've been trying to call her, she won't answer. i've been texting her, she won't answer."

"are you sure?"

"she answered once."

"what happened?"

"i was tryna explain, but she wouldn't listen."

"and why do you think that is?"

"because she saw."

"saw what?"

"what happened."

"sucks to be you, cause she's answering my texts." Destin said.

"where is she?" Bri asked.

"she's at the house. she told me she just got there."

"try calling her, see if she answers."
