25. popcorn, junk food, cotton candy? yep we're here!

"Hey there girlie you and your friend look real fine here, wanna head to the back and meet up with a few of my friends?"

My disgust finally shows on my face, amity tries to pull me away but I say feeling my inner Mexican coming out

"Perdón mi?! Now señor I don't think you understand the concept of underage and public indecency"

he looks me up and down his eyes stopping at my hand slung over amity's shoulder, grumbling he walks off causing me to sigh relieved. Scrunching up my nose I remark quietly

"drunk and disorderly aswell.. ay mi dios... lo siento my beauty... mans friends said to get a healthy snack, but he said he wanted chipotle-"

Smiling as she presses into my embrace as I chuckle at my little meme quote, heading to the more interactive games after purchasing a couple game tickets I look at the infamous ladder game.

"This time I won't let go- even if it flips"

Handing amity my Letterman I roll up my sleeves and hand the guy a ticket, getting halfway up the rope ladder I feel it start turning. Muttering a quick

"Oh hell no you don't-"

I lock my leg onto a rung as it flips me upside down my arms immediately slipping loose, panicking slightly I remember my leg firmly holding me up and pull myself carefully back through the rungs to an even position. Finishing the rest of the way I pat the top and lower myself to the padded bottom, getting a stuffed strawberry cow I hand it to amity my face covered in a light blush, kissing just beside my lips my face covers in surprise. Giggling shyly I cover my face with her Letterman I'd reacquired, smiling at me she says lovingly

"Thank you for giving me the best birthday so far.. you're a dream wildcat"

Pressing a discreet kiss to her the top of her hand I smile at her, she smiles gently at me her eyes glimmering in the afternoon sun. Walking over to a stand I purchase two 'snack bowls' of dragons breath- they call it that but it's just oversized captain crunch dipped in liquid nitrogen-  handing one to amity I explain to her that she has to crush it with her tongue in order to make it seem like she's breathing smoke. She gets super excited when she asks me after crushing it in her mouth, the cold vapor escaping her mouth in thick dense sheets of white

"Like this? WOAHHH IT WORKED!"

Hiding my face to chuckle we run into willow and boscha their faces lit up at the place around them, Willow immediately says happily,

"This is so fun!! The carnival in the boiling isles isn't as fun as this!"

Then they're gone- off to play more games or something. looking at amity who is still messing with the dragons breath I chuckle and take her to an open picnic table, looking at an icecream stand I ask as I stand up

"What is your preference in icecream? Strawberry, chocolate, neapolitan, plain vanilla? Mint chocolate? Got a favorite mix?"

Looking up at me she says sweetly, making my heart jerk into my throat.

"Chocolate and strawberry please babe"

Nodding I walk to the stand and purchase large sizes of amity's chocolate strawberry, and my mint chocolate chip. Thanking the vendor after picking up two spoons I walk over to amity, sliding her icecream onto the table I set the spoon into the styrofoam bowl. Sitting with with slight difficulty I feel amity lean onto me, wrapping my arm around her waist I smile at her

"How's my favorite girl doing?"

Smiling brightly at me I can feel my expression soften even more, she giggles gently as she says

"Awesome! I'm so glad you took me here!"

Gus, vee, and maya join us their faces overjoyed at the ever so confused gus trying to understand human currency and eat a monster dog at the same time

"Gus- swallow before speaking you'll choke"

I warn him in a polite tone to which he nods, setting down his money which the only thing bought was his food so he has easily still fourty bucks I chuckle. Setting the bills out evenly on the table I say

"Okay gus.. imagine you are paying with snails- it's the same process just like heres a little example. Let's say you're buying something thats 5 dollars fifty cents- here we have an eight percent tax so that's now five dollars and ninety four cents, you have a ten in your pocket and hand it to them being specific in a POLITE way and there- purchase made"

His eyes widen at my explanation making him realize it's not that hard, licking the now softened icecream off my spoon I look over at boscha and willow soon joining us. Seeing our group now reformed I chuckle slightly forgetting the illusion spell on boscha

"Almost thought you were a human boscha"

Punching my arm in a friendly manner she sits down and suddenly realizes the Lettermans me and amity are wearing

"Nice to see you're finally a jock luz- took you long enough"

Shaking my head with a chuckle, I look at amity with a smile. Choking audibly on my heart, I try to make it seem like I "gagged" myself with my spoon accidentally- despite trying though my nonexistent gag reflex decided not to NOT work today. Amity's arm wraps worriedly around me as I slide the spoon into my ice cream, looking up at boscha I see my attempt had failed, and she now snickered at me loudly in snorts.

"Awww... does the little human have troubles looking at her girlfriend?~"

Locking eyes with amity to prove boscha wrong, I suddenly smile.. at the time I thought it was a regular smile, until...

"What's up with that smile mh? You look like you're staring at something extremely important."

Jumping out of my trance, I pull my lips tighter to make the smile less soft. Sighing gently I swallow a spoonful of my icecream, after five minutes of silence between us two I whisper discreetly to her

"You are something extremely important ami.. to me atleast, I dunno about anyone else-"

Suddenly a throaty caw disguised as a laugh appears behind us, boscha's eyes look towards someone. Turning around I chuckle lightly at raven and amber, waving my hand to the open spots I say welcomingly as I wave my hand to the names respective owners.

"Gus, willow, boscha... this is raven and their girlfriend amber, good friends of mine at MorterSporr."

Boscha and raven mad dog eachother for a moment, amber rests the back of her hand on their chest which flattens as they relax. Willow using her muscle presses boscha down to a sitting position, raven speaks to amber quietly in bird caws, and to some form of reason- amber understands them as she replies in murmured human. Turning to boscha amber says happily,

"Despite.. the ten second staring contest- it's really nice to see the friends luz talks so highly of!"

Gus smiles brightly to the subtle comment, raven chuckles at the height to voice difference of gus but he doesn't mind. The conversations lead well into sunset when the lights fully expose themselves, standing up I take her hand in mine as if I'm silently asking her for a dance. Taking her to the magnificent eye catching ferris wheel, I show the woman at the entrance our day passes and head into the open seat. The wheel moving along as I close the small door to let others on, having never seen or been on a ferris wheel before amity looks at me confused.. until I say quietly

"I used to ride this alone with a large stuffed bear I'd won.. to escape from the stabbing existence of my sad.. single life. It's so- foreign to have you by my side.. I feel like we're back to the beginning- the sudden nervousness part of it."

I'd gotten to held up in my reverie to realise that we're now at top, until amity presses a passionate kiss to my lips, the sudden closeness of her lips leaving mine tingling as I close my eyes. A quiet noise escapes my lips in a sort of whimper as she parts, covering my mouth with my hand, I giggle shyly having not expected that to happen on my side. The stars ever so suddenly appearing.
