😀 it ain't halloween anymore.

Fuck--

Oh well. Nothing to do about that now. We're still posting this, Y.

This drawing was made for a Halloween prompted art contest, hosted by GhostySpirit! Here's my entry, thanks for letting me submit it this late, still.

I could've submitted last chapter's art, but that was more "creepypasta" vibes than "Halloween". So boom 💥

Here's my entry. The prompt was: Draw your sona, but it's Halloween. 🎃

Which brings me to an important little something you may notice. The sona above isn't Marsh (Y'know, the gray cat-wolf-hybrid with blue streaked hair floof). *Shooked noises 😦*

((Why am I so sarcastic today??))

And you're right: This isn't Marsh; it's a different sona. They don't have a name yet, buts it's mostlikely going to either start with Y or X. ("Y" because, me, obviously; "X" because, surprise surprise, my middle name starts with an X!)

Marsh, or marshmallow has always been my account's mascot. But, he's not me, personified. And that's where things get tricky. It's a character I'm comfortable representing myself with, feels more like personality I'm playing, than anything else.

(There will be a chapter in the future explaining and addressing this, but untill I finish the drawing(s) that are supposed to go with it, it'll be a topic for another day.)

Don't worry: I'm not going to drop my mascot. Maybe he'll get a redesign in the future, but I don't (ever) plan on dropping him. He means a lot to me, personally, as he marked (still does) the start of my digital art journey.

That aside, back to the art piece.

What is it? Honestly, good question, it started with me (the sona, I'm just going to say me for simplicity's sake) fusing or dressing up lien a bat. 🦇 But then it ended in more like a vampire like creature…? Doesn't really surprise me, though. I always dressed up like a vampire for Halloween when I was small.

Am I 100% satisfied (no.) with this piece? … No, but frankly, I've redone the dam. Prompt for four (4) times now, and I really don't feel like doing so again.

(I originally planned to draw me and my dad "dressing up" for Halloween. Which only makes sense if I had drawn it and explained, or you've seen my dad irl atm.)

I ended up with a headshot because the body, arms and proportions decided to collectively fail me throughout this project. And maybe I'm a little too proud of the headshot itself because it looked nice and it's the only reason this got somewhere remotely close to finished.

(The line-art isn't even line-art: it's the sketch layer, but "cleaned up", mostly. So it looks messy. But I kinda like it for this drawing…? I also tried a new color picking stragety (ex: the pumpkin) so the colors aren't accurate there, but that's on purpose.)

Happy belated Halloween…?

Also, part 100! Damn. I did not plan this to be the 100th part; I had something else planned… but here we are. Art waits for no one, I guess.

It's almost midnight, AHHH-- imma split, ba-bye!
