"What? We weren't at the mall..?" lies escaped my lips and I gave her a confused look.

'Phew! So L/n and Saiki weren't out together! I was just mistaken.'

Teruhashi was smiling very weirdly, And I know why.

"...Teruhashi?"

"O-oh! Yes?" she snapped out of her thoughts, looking at you.

"Nevermind. Talk to you later." I then turn my head away from her and look at Saiki.

'Phew, do you think she believed it?'

'Can't you read her thoughts?'

'Oh, heh.. right.'

The bell rang and it was time for lunch which I'm super excited about.

I spotted a familiar pinkette in the hallway and rushed over to him. "Hey, Saiki!"

'Hey.' he didn't even bother to look at me.

"How has school been?" I inquired, still looking up at him.

'Hell. Now leave me alone.'

"Aw, but we're heading to the same destination."

'Okay. Also, you're making me look weird by answering me when I'm not even saying anything out loud.'

'Oh, my bad..?'

Wait, doesn't he do that too?

We finally reached the cafeteria. Saiki sat down and I sat down next to him. As I waited for Kuboyasu and Kaidou, I was on my phone texting one of my old friends.

"Hey!" Kuboyasu waved, sitting down in front of me.

"Hi!" I quickly turned my phone off and put it back into my pocket.

"Did you guys finish the project for social studies?" Kaidou asked.

"Project? Was it due today? I have it next period!" I immediately panicked and stood from my seat.

"No, it's not due today, it's due tomorrow," Kaidou answered.

"What?! I haven't even heard about this pro-"

"Woah, calm down." Kuboyasu placed his hand on my shoulder and pushed me gently back down onto my seat. "I'll help you with it."

"What? Are you sure?" I asked.

I really don't want to fail... my mom will KILL me.

"Of course! It was super easy for me so it shouldn't be a problem."

"Thank you, Kuboyasu!" I got up from my seat and gave him a small hug.

'Good grief.'

'What?'

'Nothing, nothing..'
