His face scrunched. "Home." He confirmed with an outstretched hand behind him.

"No, my home, Posie's home!"

"No safe." He told her, firmly. She wanted to go deeper into the jungle for God only knew what and that simply was a death sentence for someone as fragile as her. "Home safe." He outstretched a hand to her, as if she'd accept it.

With a sigh, she stared at his talons with tear filled eyes, making no move to take his hand. She knew she couldn't out run him, it'd be useless now. She opened her mouth to try again, but he couldn't understand. What was the point?

Maybe if she went back, he could give her the book and she could string a sentence in his language together as to why she had to go back. How she would describe a space pod to him- she had no idea, but she had to try something.

The moment they got back to the castle, she snatched the book off his bed and plopped down onto her makeshift couch. She scanned through the pages, desperate to find the right words. With nothing to write with, she doggy eared all the pages she needed and pieced together a few words.

He left her alone as she flipped through the pages, but silently watched her from across the room. Her eyes snapped up to meet his and she timidly beckoned him closer. He kept a respectable distance between them and sat on the floor in front of her.

What she wanted to say was, "I need to get through the jungle, to the desert, so I can get in my space pod and radio my home on earth."

What she ended up with was, "Travel through jungle to Posie's travel home."

She released a shaky breath and said, "Glubor... chleatf..." she flipped to a different page, "damtro geh Posie's glubor," she flipped the page again, "feno."

She completely butchered the pronunciation, she was sure of it. She just hoped he understood enough of her poorly spoken sentence to let her go.

"Feno... home." He said, pointing to the ground.

She shook her head. "Kyros home. Not Posie."

His head cocked to the side, unsure how to say what he wanted to. "No... glubor."

No travel? She used travel to explain she needed to get through the jungle and to explain her space pod. It was unclear which he was referring to and why.

She repeated what he said, in question.

He sighed and struggled for the right words. "No glubor." He confirmed while he thought. He reached for the book, and she handed it to him, all while maintaining a distance between them. He flipped through the pages and pointed to...

"Gone?" She read the word, her eyes flickering up to meet his. Feeling as if she could rip her hair out, she grumbled, "what do you mean gone?"

His mouth opened, but no words came out. She wouldn't understand anyway.

A curse escaped to her lips and she hastily stood to her feet. "I need to go home." She exclaimed and marched to the exit.

It was quickly blocked by his big body towering over her, making her shrivel back. "No-"

"Not safe, I know." She rasped, tears of frustration gathering in her eyes. With the back of her hand, she quickly wiped them away and plopped back down on the hay.

She accepted her defeat for now.

Nothing would stop her from at least trying to get back home. Her family has to be worried sick about her. If she couldn't remember how or why she got here, they must be clueless to her whereabouts too! Unfortunately, the last place they'd check would a whole different planet.
