I got my children back.

I missed their childhoods and their early teenage years, but they're back now and that's all I can care about.

They even have a plus one.

Atlas Killian Alderidge.

Not what I was expecting at all when Meredith, the social worker, mentioned an extra child over the phone.

I was expecting a kid. Like maybe ten or eleven years old?

I was not expecting a ten month old baby.

I'm not surprised Irene was getting around after she left, but I am surprised it wasn't so long ago.

Something isn't sitting right but I can't, for the life of me, figure out what is it.

Maverick changing Atlas's diaper yesterday morning was definitely a highlight of having a baby in this house again.

These boys have never experienced anything like this other than their own younger brothers, who they were still a little too young to have to look after or worry about.

Which makes Genevieve and Easton all that much more impressive. At the age of sixteen they've learned completely how to look after a newborn baby and help it develop and grow, while staying healthy.

A task which many parents never actually master, let alone children.

Both of them are great kids too - clever, composed, caring.

Elliot talked to them last night and found out they had already graduated high school, which they taught themselves mostly.

There's something peculiar about the twins, though.

I just can't seem to figure out what they're hiding. I overheard Genevieve's nightmare the other night, but Easton covered for her when I'd asked.

I'll find out.

I always do.

"Dad, Gio and Dallas are coming over today. Also have you seen Griffin? I haven't heard from him in a couple days." Harrison snapped me out of my wandering thoughts.
