Vanished

          The hall was filled with laughter and music. A young man walked in wearing a red crystal. He looked around until he saw a girl around his age dancing in the crowd. She looked his way and gave him a happy wave before being pulled back into the sea of bodies. "Jungkook!", Another man yelled while walking over. "Hey namjoon.", He said as he patted him on the back. The taller man handed him a drink. "Aruna seems lively.", He laughed. "Jin already told her… after the banquet we are all going to the countryside.", He smiled whilst looking down at his emerald green crystal. His dimples stood out as he took a deep breath. "Did I miss anything?", He asked. "Just taehyung being named the heir… they had to find him.", He laughed as Jungkook chuckled. "He was probably with Jimin.", He said looking around as the girl ran over. "Jungkook you finally came." She said as he gently touched her curls. "Of course I came, I said I would.", He said as he looked at the older man. "Hey Jin.", He laughed. "Better late than never.",  he teased. "I had to make a stop.", He said, fumbling with something in his pocket.

        Two more men walked up and one held his hand out to Aruna. "Excuse me.", She said as he pulled her with him. "Change of plans.", Namjoon laughed. "How is he jimin?", Jin asked. "Worried that there have been sightings of shi'ar ships.", Jimin said as taehyung twirled Aruna before pulling her close. "You would think she only loved him the way they look at each other.", Another man said, walking up. "Finally emerged from your study, yoongi?", Namjoon laughed. "Yes, Taehyung was adamant I come….his father worries of an invasion.", He sighed. "So our trip is cancelled?", Jungkook sighed in disappointment. "Postponed….not cancelled.", Jimin said as they watched the two of them dance.

       As the party winned down, Taehyung led the group to his royal apartment. "Did I leave my crystals here?", Aruna said, wandering into the bedroom. "Yes but don't wander off.", Taehyung said following her. She walked into his lavish room and found a small handful of rocks on his dresser. Looking them over she picked them up and held them close before dropping them back down. Taehyung stood back as she looked over the stones again. "What do you see?", He said, speaking a little higher than a whisper. "Birth…", she said looking from another angle. "Like a baby?", He said quickly. "Mhm….someone will have a baby.", She sighed. "Who...one of us? Is it one of our stones?", He said looking over her shoulder and trying to see what she saw. "No it's a neutral stone not one of yours….maybe someone in one of our families...I would need to be at home or in yoongi's study for a clearer reading.", She muttered looking over the stones. "Okay bed with you.", Taehyung ordered. "Wait! If I have just a moment then I can analyze it.", She said as he dug through the dresser and pulled out a charcoal grey nightgown. She looked at the silk material, her eyes following the fabric to his hand then his aquamarine stone.

        Has anything happened since you got it?", She asked as he handed her the nightgown. "We will discuss this in the morning. Bed now, you've been awake for far too long.", He said as she snickered. "Because I was studying with yoongi.", She said as he pushed her into the bathroom. "My point exactly, you stay up for days with him, or namjoon and then when we finally have time you are dead tired.", He grumbled sitting on the bed. The door opened as she stood there, her dark curls resting on her shoulders. She walked over and touched his face tilting it up so he could look at her. "I'm sorry...I shall manage my time better.", She whispered as he placed his hands on her waist. Smiling, she gently tousled the curls falling over his deep eyes. "I want what's best for your health.", He said as she leaned down and kissed him before he pulled her into his lap. "I know you always look out for my safety, that's why I feel the most secure sleeping here.", She whispered. "I expect you to sleep in tomorrow, now rest...I have to go see my parents and then I'll be right back.", He said, getting up and helping her to her feet.

         Climbing into the plush cream duvet. "Lavender and chamomile.", She said as he tucked her so she could smell the scent. "Don't sniff sleep ", he said as she mumbled for him to go to his meeting. Smiling, he turned off the lights and closed the door. Aruna looked up for a moment before laying her head back down. Taehyung walked into the sitting room and grabbed his jacket. "She is resting , Jungkook stand guard. We should be back in an hour.", He said as Jungkook nodded. The guys left him alone. Sighing he walked down the hall and slowly opened the door. Aruna laid with her head under the covers. He knew she wasn't asleep. He slowly crept on and pulled the top of the covers down. He gently kissed her on the head before fixing the blanket. As he closed the door his cuff began to glow. "Shit.", He grumbled as he grabbed his jacket. The large cream door closed and locked behind him. "She'll be safe in there.", He muttered to himself as he ran to his position.
