CHAPTER 1 : Part 3

Bondita's POV :

I came down the stairs. Pati Babu was waiting for me outside the mansion. I went to Durga temple before leaving. KSJ was sitting on the sofa in the living room looking at his zamindari papers. He stopped me on the way back from the temple.

"Re ruko Bahu" He stared at me for a long time.

"Hann Kaka Sasur ji?"

"Kahi jaa rahi ho kya Bahu?" He questioned me.

How did he know I was going somewhere? Ohhoo Bondita,how could you forget that this is his mansion. Even the air cannot enter here without his permission, so it is not difficult for him to know when and where everyone will go.

"Re Bahu kaha kho geyi? Batao?"

"Woh hann Kaka Sasur Ji..main aur Pati babu bahar jaa rahi thi"

Suddenly his eyes sparkled. "Thik hai,thik hai bahu jao" He said with a grinned smile.

I nodded my head and left. Why did KSJ suddenly smile like this? I'm going to eat kulfi with my Pati babu, so why is KSJ so excited? Is KSJ okay? Is KSJ's health okay?

"Bondita...jaldi aao na, itni derr kyun kardi?" Pati Babu interrupted my thoughts.

"Nhi Pati babu..chaliye aab" I said with a fake smiled

Pati Babu opened the car door for me. I got in the car and sat in the seat next to Pati Babu. Pati Babu started driving. For the first time I am going somewhere sitting next to my Pati Babu. I looked at him and smiled.
Finally we reached the market. Pati Babu and I went to Kulfi shop.

"Dada do kulfiya dena" Pati Babu asked the Kulfi shopkeeper dada to give us two Kulfis.

Shopkeeper dada gave us two kulfis. We opened the kulfi and looked at each other.

"Bondita..Sorry" Pati Babu said holding his ear.

"Pati Babu..Sorry" I said holding my ear too.

Then we smiled and exchanged our kulfi with each other. We moved away from there. We started eating kulfi.

"Pati Babu kitni acchi hai na Kulfi?!" I said excitedly. Patibabu shook his head as he ate.

"Bilkul aapki tarah" I said happily.

"Nhi Bondita, tumhari tarah...mithi" Pati Babu said happily. We laughed. Then suddenly the jar of kulfi fell from my hand.

"Re..ek minute ruko ruko" He said in tension. And then he ran to the Kulfi shop.

"Dada pani hai kya? Woh kulfi gir geyi" Then shopkeeper dada gave water to Patibabu. "Shukriya" Pati babu told the shopkeeper dada.

Pati Babu came to me and started washing my feet.

"Pati babu ea kya kar rahe hai aap?" I asked impatiently.

"Pair saaf kar raha hu...kuch galat hai isme?" Everyone around was looking at us but that stare wasn't good. I was feeling awkward. But I had nothing to do because I can't stop my Pati babu from doing what he is doing now. But I felt good also that he was taking care of me so much. After washing my feet, he wiped my feet and put on my shoes.
