Jase insisted on sitting behind me in every single class...He even had Mr.Waxle,my Geography teacher, change the whole seating chart. He's like my personal creeper. The only time he didn't talk was lunch, the only time I gave him permission to be with me.

"So..."I tried to break the awkward silence.Jase wasn't touching his food,Debby was writing a story in between bites, and Sydnie was listening to her IPod while she ate.No one responded when I spoke.

"I'm going to go walk around..."I muttered.

"I'll go with you!"Jase popped up from his seat and followed me.I showed him where everything was.By the time we were done,Jase was practically an expert on where everything was at school. There were even a few guys who tried to convince him to hang out with him.Every time they asked Jase just said that he'd rather be with me.I think that he's just being stupid. There's no way that Jase wants to be with me.He's just stupid.

When the day was finally over,I was surprised to find out that Jase already had his homework done.

"How...?You didn't take out a notebook or write anything down at all today..."I marveled at the nearly perfect five page English report that was assigned today.

"It wasn't hard. And you always complain about how hard school is...Its almost too easy for me."He grinned.

"Whatever.I'm just an average girl.I do what I can."

"I don't know...You're definitely more than average if you ask me..."He said it like he was a little bit nervous.

I felt my cheeks become hot."Don't start...Go do something productive."

"Like what?"He folded his arms.

"I don't know...Think of something."

He gave me a half smile."I can think of a few."He was looking me up and down.

"Not funny!Dont you dare even think about...Go upstairs!"I growled.

He started laughing."Whatever you say.Just don't let that thought set in your mind,no matter how amazing it is."He turned and ran up the stairs.

I definitely don't have any feelings for Jase.My grandma was wrong. He will never be perfect for me.Maybe if I can convince her, she'll put him back in my sketchbook where he belongs. That would make everything a lot easier for me.I decided to go with that plan.

I went looking for grandma. After an hour or do of looking,I found her in the attic, making some dolls.

"I need a favor..."I knelt down by her.She was setting in the middle of the floor.

"I'm not putting him back."She didn't look up at me.

"How did you-"

"You're obvious, that's how I know what you're going to say.You need to try to get along with him. You'll thank me when things all work out."

"But-"

"I'm afraid that if you don't stop talking, dear,I'll have to do something far worse.Maybe even make one of these dolls to be you."

"Okay...Bye."I stomped off.I was stuck with him. When I went back to my room,I wasn't surprised to find him looking through my underwear.

"Really...?"I folded my arms.

"I...I can explain!"He stood up.

"Don't.I don't want to know.I just want to draw."I walked past him to my desk where my sketchbook was.He sat down beside me.

"Why do you draw,Kyla?"

"To let my emotions out."I started to sketch a graveyard.A single tombstone sat far away from the others. The sky was dark.A crow sat on the lone tombstone.

"Why did you draw something so dark?"He looked confused.

"If I draw all of my dark emotions on paper,I'll be able to keep them there. If I do that, there's more room for good emotions."

"I love learning new things about you."That's the last thing I heard him say before I noticed him sleeping.
